Hi Johnno261

What does SP refer too?

I've seen others post refering to this measure and even though I've an Accounting / Finance background I'm lost with it?

Same here dutchy...i have as well and i dont know what SP stands for either you can meet me at the asx in melbourne and we can research it together if you like

Arggg ... Thanks Sam76

How simple ... I had been under the impression it was a special indicator number made up of a few inputs. ASX in Melbourne would indeed be a place to investigate!

Minor issue which will be addressed with efficiency no doubt!! Dispute does not effect Chinguetti in any way, so production is still only 2 weeks away. Woodside don't pussyfoot around and will amend this problem as this interest is in their interest too!! A buying opp. I picked up more pre $1.90
Disputed area consists of TIOF,TEVET & BANDA. Tiof has the potential to be the biggest field of all!!!! Good Luck

Looks like hrd have a bit going for them and i have em on my watch list as well as the intstallment warrant and was gonna buy in today but the price of oil is dropping and thats why i havent been in the oil play lately so if it gets below $60 a barrell i will be looking very intuitively as i jumped off stoiss to early when there was much more profit to be made.

I am still trying to workout if production has already been factored into hdr's price and looking for what i think will be a good entry.

Hi TheAnalyst

I'm a bit the same way. Still not really getting its skates on pending actual production.

Still look at the way this one reacted to to news today. Sure ... opened near it low (on a big gap down) on the news then traded higher all day, with an increase in relative volume. I'll hold long as I too believe in the story and I'm happy with the accumulation pattern on the chart.

looks like one bullish candle patteren today on hdr i never realised or i would have jumped in today...its gonna bounce for sure

Yesterdays news was a storm in a Oil Cup!! It's only a dispute between WPL as the Operator of Mauritania's Oil Fields and The Government of Mauritania over amendments that wer'e made to contracts, not a dispute with the contracts themselves! Take note that the dispute does not have anything to do with next weeks commencement of production from Chinguetti.
The disputed amendments to the contracts applies to Tiof,Tevet & Banda which dont come into production for some time anyway!
As Woodside have stated before, Tiof is a complex field in term of it's structure and they have an extremely positive outlook on Tiof alone being possibly up to a Billion Barrel field, which would make it the biggest field of the past 20+ years.

A storm in a tea cup!!!!!!

yer its nothing much its just more got to do with when they have to terminate a well and block it and also if they have to abandon mining the oil nothing else.

I think the AWB are sending a team over ahead of them to try and sought things out over a game of cards a few beers, i think they are taken some prize racing camels as well to give them as gifts.

I run an hour everyday and I find this to be the perfect "THINKING TIME"! This is my opinon in relation to Mauritnia. WPL has played down the potential of Mauritania, knowing of the news that came to the market on Friday for some time. I too am in the opinion that once this Dispute of the amendments to the contracts are sorted out, WPL will start to pump excitement into the market with the potential of Tiof,Tevet, etc etc. Woodside are fully aware that Tiof alone is HUGE!!! If even a slight % goes in favour of the JV's this will equate to BIG $$$!!
This is how I perceive the above thru my eyes!!

As for Fridays trading pattern on HDR, you could say very Bullish in terms of an opening of $1.85,dipped to $1.82 then traded higher all day on Huge Volumes to close at $1.925. Huge accumulation must have taken place for that to occur.Watch for a rebound in this coming week!!

I regret i was very busy with other stocks and did not take a good look at it as i reckon you are way right here. It should take a bounce and i wouldnt be surprised if that is tommorrow but was a perfect time to accumulate.....

I run two hours every second day and spa in mu tai, boxing and kickboxing a fair bit sometimes i even carry my mouthguard with me if i go running at nite in case of any action been trainning in martial arts since i was 14 and still extremly flexible.....this helps me be ready for stockmarket action at most times.....i am adding new weaponary to my arsenal of trading fighting kit such as elliot waves and fibbo.....i am almost at a place where i can take money from the market at will.....i do weights whilst i watch stocks and in between rests of sets i check my open positions.....i like the challenge of HDR and BSL i thk BSL is a tough trade and not for the faint hearted and HDR should reward with a bit of patience.

any predictions for share price action when production commences?
also, does anyone have a date? all i keep hearing is early february.
ive heard some people talking you wont see this stock under $2 again once production begins. Seems like alot of optimism is surrounding HDR concerning this new venture.

Currently most oil mining stocks are valued with an average price of oil over 5 yrs between $35-$55 and when oil is above that they tend to increase in price...just my observation....and i am ex navy...johnno may have something different as he is ex army but they aint as smart as sailors.

I have sold my HDR holdings.
Too much uncertainty over the Mauritania government situation.

You might see more of a pull back here....
My 20c

Im still holding... willing to keep these ones long term. I think this will only be a minor set back in share price. Just waiting for new project to get underway and we'll see what happens after that. Although i have been a little worried with all this negative press about the dispute over contracts. I am holding WPL as well, both HDR and WPL got worked over pretty bad today. :(

Dont worry Carpets everyone got hammred today but now at $1.755 and a little bit more downside HDR will be good value to enter or top up :walker:
