The Dutch are sensible open minded people and they have had enough of the rot.

Our leaders in Ngunnawal, Meanjin, Naarm, Gadigal and other capitals better watch out.

When times get tough, and crime escalates, when intersectionality becomes more important than family and the fair go, and when elites rule like royalty, people turn towards right wing parties.

I agree, the current Australian government is ignoring the mainstream in favour of minorities.

That may be their undoing but now the Voice thing is over one would hope they get back on track.

What happened in the Netherlands I have no idea and don't really care. In this country we suffered 9 years of inaction and incompetence and I have no desire to repeat that in the near future.

As I said before , the Australian electorate is essentially conservative and Labor has to be pretty good to stay in power.

I hope they are.

I don't think the coalition or Labor are conservative at all in the sense of the broad Australian public.

Of course conservative means different things to traditional labor
voters and traditional coalition voters. However, both parties are pandering to inner city trendy freaking woke elites, forsaking both of their traditional bases.

You know what? Though I have never voted labor in my life, if the party presented itself has old-fashioned labor, I would vote for them over the abominations representing themselves is either party at the moment.

But, as things stand I would vote for an Australian version of Javier Milei, or a Trump, or a Wilders, or a Le Penn.

You bet I would, until such time as the Overton window returns to some reasonable point in the center.

It has little to do with right or left, but more with the calibre of our politicians. Necessary decisions need to be made.

As evidenced by their personal register of holdings, politicians in Australia seem more concerned with increasing their property portfolio than with governing.

I have known so called left rule in a right mannered way and vice versa.

Calibre I have not seen for over a generation.

And it will not improve given the morals of the political staffers who inherit seats as portrayed in civil and criminal proceedings recently.
