Elon Musk

tesla is the only vehicle manufacturer in California.
And yet, in his wisdom, the Governor of California plans to exclude tesla from EV credits.
The politics are mind-bogglingly stupid, but thats is the way of partisan politics in the US.
Cut off your nose to spite your face.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is preparing to step in if President-elect Donald Trump fulfills his promise to axe the federal electric-vehicle tax credit — but one notable EV maker could be left out.

Newsom said Monday if the $7,500 federal tax credit is eliminated he would restart the state's zero-emission vehicle rebate program, which was phased out in 2023.

"We will intervene if the Trump Administration eliminates the federal tax credit, doubling down on our commitment to clean air and green jobs in California," Newsom said in a statement. "We're not turning back on a clean transportation future — we're going to make it more affordable for people to drive vehicles that don't pollute."

The rebates for EV buyers would come from the state's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, which is funded by polluters of greenhouse gases under a cap-and-trade program, according to the governor's office.

But Tesla's vehicles could be excluded under the proposal's market-share limitations, Bloomberg News first reported.

"polluters of greenhouse gases" ..let's raze the amazon..

Learned something today.
The Boring Company was founded by Elon Musk to develop tunnel boring machines.
I had been following the Prifrock boring system, and just by chance found out he founded it.
He has another string to his bow.
Must have more strings than a harp.

An old post, but it shows that Elon has a long term plan.

Time to rename the thread Kekius Maximus? His new alt right name.
I don't think he is alt right.
He shut a lot of the alt right accounts down. He also p1ssed a lot of the right wing accounts with a lot dragging him the last week.

Alt right is not really defined.
I would have thought he was alternative right as opposed to standard conservative right but I suppose that is probably out of date also.

I'm not sure if I have my facts right on Elon, but I thought that The Trumpet brought him into the fold to cut Government spending back by about 1/3.
If so perhaps he is the bloke too cut back duplication and general waste of public monies.

This is far right extremism..how do you dare make government agile and light😊

Elon Musk has gone the way I unfortunately expected him to.
He has started to believe his own publicity.
Why he thinks he has any business getting involved in UK politics is unfathomable.
He was one of the many who criticised (rightly so I believe) the Democrats for importing UK Labour party organisers to get involved in the US election, and here he is effectively doing the same thing.
The beginning of his demise?

The bromance of two of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters, Elon Musk and Nigel Farage hits a rocky patch

In an extraordinary intervention, Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men and the confidante of incoming US president Donald Trump, has called for a new political leader of one of Britain’s political parties.
Mr Musk called for Nigel Farage, whose leadership of the British political party Reform UK has elevated it to be a serious rival to the Conservative Party, to stand down insisting he “doesn’t have what it takes”.
Mr Musk has apparently taken umbrage at Mr Farage’s refusal to allow far right protagonist Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League, to become involved with Reform UK.
