Electricity bill up 22%

Do you have the link Belli ?

Thanks.

As a reference here is the usage as a chart from the provider. It is from my last bill for the period 9/11/2023 to 8/2/2024 and covers a year.

What are your supply and service charges by the way Belli?

The supply and usage charges are still the same as per Post #57. However, I do expect them to increase as usually happens. The supply charge is approximately $1 per day and usage is around $1.10 per day. It's during the warmer months though and the usage will be higher during Winter.

It's been a pretty crap Summer actually as I have seen in the past the export get to 80 kWh on some days. I also have solar hot water but it has been sized (320 litres) for the number of bedrooms (four) and not the number of people in the house (me, mostly) and water usage, including hot water, isn't very high overall.

Ah, I see I did previously calculate it at $1.18 per day. Still, at total of $2.18 ain't too bad during Spring/Summer.

It's the maximum demand charge which is a crock. The provider takes the highest half-hourly usage between the hours of 5 pm to 8 pm and multiplies it by the number of days in the month. All under the guise as encouragement to better usage of electricity. Sure, I believe you. Just happens when a lot of people arrive home and start cooking dinner, etc. How serendipitous.

Yes with a feed in tariff of 10c, it is still great.
Over here in the West the feed in tariff started at 47c now it's 3c, but I don't think our service costs are as high.
