This has been my favourite show for years. Have been watching it again recently on foxtel (UKTV channel) and on youtube. It is amazing how simple some great businesses are. I also find the Dragons very entertaining at times - can be very blunt and absolute realists which i suppose is what you need to be in order to be successful in business.

Too true Jersey10! Defo one of my fav shows too.

They should do an Aussie one I say!

They did do an Aussie one a few years back. Can't remember much of it. I do remember Darryn Lyons and Sarina Russo were two of the dragons. The British version is the best. The Aussie version wasn't bad, but the American version just doesn't do it for me. I'd say Duncan Bannatyne would be my favourite - very blunt and to the point. I remember him saying to one lady "i just don't think you know why you were given ears" because she kept answering back and trying to justify things she was doing wrong and not taking on board what they were saying - very funny.

I just watched a few episodes on youtube. It didnt interest me much, most of the "entreprenurs" didnt have any idea on how to give a presentation and there is a big focus on "why the idea wont work" instead of "how can we make it work". negativity breeds negative results

I like any business sort of enterpise shows but thought this was a bit of a dog.. australian version at least ..

I love the apprentice but didnt see past second series as I dont have foxtel !!!!

there was a reasonable small business show on sbs a few weeks back not sure if it is still running hosted by an Indian girl.. about small business start ups..

I think it would be nice to have a follow up series where the entrepreneurs that were taken under the Dragons' wing could be interviewed and we could see the results of their mentor-ship & support.

Even the New Inventors show (great show!) have followup segments.

Cheers,

Kenny

why would the Dragons try and find reasons to make the entrepenuers ideas work? they aren't interested in making it work, they want to find something that already works and works well so they can make money out of it. If you watch some more you will see as soon as they find an idea that they believe in they will throw plenty of money at it.

umm to make money?
It seems to me that these dragons have run out of their own personal ideas and are looking for a quick and easy way to become billionaires. I would probably do the same thing if I were them.
