New Zealand have won the second test against the Poms by the barest of margins, 1 run, only the second time in test history.
Only the fourth time that a team has won a test after following on.
Prior to this, Australia were on the receiving end of all three.
England continues its uber aggressive approach ti cricket that they call "Bas Ball".
Will put a bit of spice in the next Ashes contest.

Surprised we're not talking about the girls team. I mean the ladies team. Sorry, the LGBTQIS+ girls team.

Possibly the best sporting team, of any sport, of any gender, of all time.

Recently a couple of the women have been more prominent, but Ellyse Perry must go down as one of the best all-rounders of all time, both men and women. Averaging 75 in tests with bat and 19 with the ball (only 10 matches), but averaging about 50 and 20 across all forms.

Botham 33 and 28. Kallis 55 and 32. Sobers 57 and 34. That's pre short form where you now score less and get out more.

Hard to put Gillie in there as a comparison, but he'd be up there too.

Are you insinuating that the girls cricket team are Lesbians ?

Mitchell Starc may get a shock when he gets home.

It was a very exciting finish and good on the Kiwis.

The Pommie team is pretty confusing these days, coached by a Kiwi and with an ex Kiwi as captain.

Not to mention all the seth efricans they have had over the years.

Well, I know Ellyse isn't but might go both ways. The elite women's sports teams seem to have a very high proportion of the pride community. Have you watched a red carpet entry for the AFLWGBTIQ+ parade on their Brownlow night? Not that there's anything wrong with that**.

**TM, Seinfeld.

The amount of hugging, kissing and bum rubs in the men's teams makes me wonder a bit.

The Saffers still have that sense of choking about them.
Against a fairly mediocre WI side , they were sitting pretty at 1-221, but by the close of play had lost 7/79 to be 8/314.
WI may well rue letting the two biggest run scorers off the hook with dropped catches, otherwise they might have been in a much better position.

Who prepared this cricket pitch in India? Winnie the Poo? Spinners on at both ends in session one smashing them. What a joke. Might be a one day test.

Just on this process of "doctoring " pitches, Rohit Sharma has hinted that India will ask ofr a green top if they win the third test.
From Cricinfo

never ceases to amze why the ICC don't step in and ask for an explanation, but I guess thats the way cricket oes these days, what India wants, India get.

seems the Indian Authorities have upset the locals by effectively closing the stadium to the the great unwashed.
From That evil one sided murdoch rag that has no redeeming features
I wonder who they are protecting, Albo or Modi??

What a joke of a test. Haven't seen tracks this bad, ever.

Australia go from a position of some strength at 4/186 and lose 6 for 11 to be all out for 197 and a lead of 88 runs.
Remains to be seen whether the OZ bowlers can do the same to India.
making a specialty of dramatic collapses.
Rubbish pitch, hope the Indians are totally castigated for serving up such trash.

ICC will sure to examine. Maybe the ICC as well. I think Australia prepare pitches that are generally fair and variable, but might suit our team slightly. India are just producing land mines. But in this case, they can't even play them. Spinners should not be opening. Ever.

The difference is, Australian Pitches are consistent - Perth is always bouncy, Adelaide spins as does SCG, Brisbane always provides swing and seam movement, Melbourne, well that is a bit of a pudding.

Melbs has been better since they started the drop-in pitches. Previously, too much footy being played on it during winter that effected the preparation. It used to be a muddy gloop during winter.
