Confused about when you need an AFSL

Hi all.

In a general sense, would you need an AFSL for any of the following?

• Creating an automated (Forex) trading system which is only used by myself (with the source code privately hosted on GitHub). I will only be trading my own money.
• Creating my own journalling software which is only used by myself (with the source code privately hosted on GitHub).
• Posting images of charts on social media without providing any advice or explanation of any strategies.

The ASIC website doesn't really give me a definite answer and at this stage I'd like to avoid consulting with a lawyer unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

Looks like your not providing any advice or selling any financial products - for something only used by yourself, I would not think you would need a licence in my opinion
