I have a mate who spends a bit of time in the middle east etc and he leaves his trading laptop with me so I can keep his Netquote data and a few other items up to date.

He runs Metastock, Advanced Get and Amibroker with this plugin and reckons its good.

I have run it a few times, it would be ideal if you don't have a system of your own or are not interested in building a few. It seems to have a good scan ability.

Based on the price (combined with the price of Amibroker) you would have a very good out of the box scan and display setup for about $500 if you put some decent daily data into it.
On that basis I would recommend it.

I have used PatternExplorer for many years - works well.
