BOQ - Bank of Queensland

that might depend on when the franchisees were told about the new strategy ( and assumes some were BOQ share-holders ( directly or otherwise )

BUT might be just some options being exercised

all i know is BOQ is ridding itself of a point of difference ( from the big 4 )

So they're going to buy back the franchises that blocked the past acquisitions, which will mean a possible takeover if there's anything to salvage from the franchises. One would think that much of the goodwill will disappear with the owner/franchises moving on.

seems like they are buying ALL the franchises , and yes i have a nodding relationship with the local franchisee ( unlike the other banks i deal ( or have dealt with ) , that will dull any advantage they have with me

( also one might wonder if landlords will increase the rents on renewed leases )

but IF there is a predator , who are the possibles .. BEN and MQG come to mind ( the BIG 4 would face all sorts of hurdles )

SUN has divested the banking arm , ABA and MYS are merging

only a 'daddy big-bucks ' like WES would has the borrowing power . or let in a foreign owned bank
