As someone already pointed out, you can't further your cause by constantly trying to lift your rating, by basing it on you being less unattractive than your opposition.

This is what pushes the agenda right, constantly excusing poor performance by excusing it.
I've already said I think Albo is doing fine, but I think it needs a big leap of faith.

Perhaps I'm what the galah thinks is a RWNJ sock puppet (Im a centrist, actually), but I don't think Albo is doing fine at all. I don't feel he represents me in the slightest.
As I've said numerous times here, I no longer think the LNP represents me either, they don't.
But yeah, I feel myself being pushed to the near right.
And to be sure, I disavow the far right, that is obvious by my posts here.

On one in the Halls of Power in Canberra actually give me much hope. More like they're on a good 3 year stint and looking at the next bit. The back pocket nerve is all they are really worried about.

I don't see the point of attacking Dutton. Not even libs are voting for him. They really need to clean up their act as they are a bit rudderless at the moment.
I have complaints about Labor and albo, but at this point they are balanced enough doing just enough things I approve of. Immigration, housing, living standards are very noticeable though and if they don't get a handle on it then opinions will change. Abolishing negative gearing ain't the solution. Immigration needs to be cut hard.
I think they are calling for Assange to come home. I think he's done his time. Let's face it, the US and other countries can eat sht after all the things they are doing/done around the world.
All in all they are keeping below my "whinge" threshold.

For me Labor and Airbus are tittering on the fine line.
Honest truth is I haven't seen the TV broadcast news in about 5 years. I get snippets every now and then. But Australian politics seems to be out of the online spaces I'm on to a greater degree.

Because the law is established, laws around indefinite detention clearly are not for obvious reasons, not saying the case is or isn't valid just the mess on detention of immigrants coming by boat.

Sounds as if the guy is playing the system, it is about time both sides of politics sorted a sensible outcome for illegal immigrants, it has certainly been going on for long enough.
Maybe another example of where they need experts to come up with the answers, instead of politicians.
