ARW - Australian Renewable Fuels

Quite a gap up today. Sellers buying back in or something more drastic?

Anyone want to take a punt at what's going on down the tallow transformation road?

News imminent, any day now. The word in the street is that they are about to sign a deal with FMG Fortscue metals or BHP. ARW is to provide 5 million litres of Biodiesel to one of them. This deal could send the price back to 0.30 cents

Watchlist time;An announcement "significant/substantial " will be out early next week.:)From what I hear it is mainly to do with the Aussie operations.

Crossed fingers.

The announcement ARW holders are waiting for should be released by this comming Wednesday. It should contain that contacts have been signed off and that funding has been secured. This is only to do with the Aus operations.
As the Pre final report stated the US operation may take some time resuming because of sub-prime crisis.

Anyhow cross those fingers for a reasonable re-rate.:)

Good news to come out at the end of this week. Spoke to Company :)
They are confident that they will get the Bank approval by this week

I spoke to the co. last week as well.Max told me that news would be days away re financing.I have been using current climate to accumulate with the last buy @2.7.
Now with oil over $100/barrell this is looking even better.Max told me that profit would be >20c/litre.

Come announcement, we should see a reasonable re-rate of the sp.The thing I like about ARW is they are manufacturing fuel;instead of spending millions drilling in the hope they find oil.More gaurantee here.Anyway,we wait.

Time will tell.

:)The announcement came out last night.FMG is the customer.HSBC the financier.May well be on the road to recovery.
Look at the announcement and do some research. This is my LT buy,as ARW is well placed to be also involved in the new industry re greenhouse emissions.

Before the Govt subsidy was removed in early '07 the sp was as high as $2.70.This could be as high as 50c in the next 6 months as new customers come on board.:)

Hmmm I am not so sure. I spoke to Max when the stock was trading at 40 cents (yeah he was still CFO), he assured me that production and sales would outstrip costs of tallow. He was singing to the tone of rising crude in his Sth Afrikan accent, and look where it's at now.

I am not sure that I trust Max after that major bombshell. But to each their own I guess.

My interest in ARW is through Amadeus Energy-AMU, who have written down the value of their holding in ARW to zero but have held the investment. So hopefully better times ahead for ARW and aflow on for AMU

I think I'll purchase some of these tomorrow. Where can I get the companys financial information? Just looking for information like their spending, contracts and cash flow. I was on their website but I can't find much.

Thanks.

I am not an Australian citizen and therefore cannot sign up for an Australian E*Trade account. I have a US account but I cannot look up Australian companys unless they are represented by an ADR.

Thanks for those links. I emailed them asking them for an investor package so hopefully I'll get a reply today sometime.

Does anyone think this companies sp has the capability of returning to where it was back in 06 i.e. >$1 ? It just seems there is a bit of interest but i wonder if it has the growth potential in renewable fuels?

Thanks for any thoughts
Marc

Hi Marc,
What we have here is ARW basically starting from scratch again.I had quite a lengthy discussion with the co a couple of days ago.M.Gerr is very bullish on the prospects of the co.Shortly, they will be producing approx about 16 million litres of bio-diesel, with the majority going to 3 customers.I customer is meeting with Max next week to talk about substantially increasing from their current 1 million litres. He is also meeting another major corporation next week as well.He has supplied samples of bio-diesel to about 6 prospective customers in the last 2 weeks.

What I like about ARW is they are not using valuable food to make the fuel.As of next year co's will be using ARW for carbon credits as well.

You should ring ARW and speak to Max Gerr;he very approachable.

I will continue to buy on any weakness. My target for 6 months is 40c.So we will see how we go.I do expect to see re-rating to start in the next couple of weeks.

Goodluck holders

Thanks upndown.

The outlook does seem promising, let's hope that many more customers sign over to ARW fuels, 40c in 6 months would be a very attractive profit on the current sp. So we can probably expect a few announcements over the next month for increased demand.

Marc

ARW seems to be very low on trading recent weeks, with very little buying and selling, anyone know why? I've been watching ARW for the whole week, there was little trading yesterday and no trading at all today.

hey guys,
anyone know why the 30% jump today? there was no news, or is this simply someone buying a few shares to try and make a quick buck? It just seems strange that ther's been hardly any trading on this share and then for it to jump 30 % in one day.
