Hi,
Can anyone here trade with commsec using their smartphone/PDA? if yes, how? because i can't seem to log on to their web-based login using my smartphone with windows mobile 5 in it. any info will be much appreciated.

You can modify the registry and change the browser to think it is version NT4. This worked on Windows mobile 2003 SE on a PDA. I don't have a PDA anymore so I can't check what registry entries it affects. I can't remember. And WM2005 may be different..I'll have a bit of a look around for you.

Cheers,

Thanks Stan 101.

Unfortunately, i haven't been successful. :banghead:
Commsec will just keep bouncing me back to the login page.
However, that link you gave me did make some other websites treat my smartphone as if it is a desktop, e.g., gmail.
But, commsec still wouldn't let me through!

This makes me want to change from comsec to etrade!

Josh,

Is the E*Trade site enhanced for mobile - or do you have to scroll?

Waspi :bananasmi

I do on my Moto Q9H - what browser does your phone use? You can probably install an alternative, I run both Opera, & IE

& I use CommSec

I used my n95 to trade on etrade, very useful to keep track of prices.

I've been very interested in this lately also, does the N95 handle it well?

also is it possible to do this through a prepaid setup as I don't make many calls (maybe 1 a week)
