Hey Guys,

I'm a software developer that also enjoys investing and after months of lurking have finally signed up today for research and advice purposes.

Over the last few months I have developed a few utilities (free) that I am trying to develop even further and would really like to get some feed back and opinions from the knowledgeable locals as well as advice and direction.

Just wanted to make sure what the rules were regarding this as I could understand it being misinterpreted as shameless self promotion, albeit non-commercial.

I am actively developing and would really like to get these utils to a place where they are real-world usable and valuable to the investing community.

The problem with have with spam is people registering and immediately promoting commercial products and services with no intention of becoming contributing members of the ASF community. That's why we have fairly stringent rules about the promotion of products, services or websites and we usually limit this to a signature link.

However, if your utilities will be useful to ASF members, and they are free, and will remain so in perpetuity, then you are welcome to ask for feedback on them here.

I would be more than happy to offer the software to active (we'd need to define that) members of ASF for free as long as they stay active on the forums. That way we would both benefit from the relationship.
