$1.2 billion in penalty overdraft fees for one year - just for Australia!!

Thats $54.55 per citizen per year.

Unbelievable.

I don't use cash very often - means I get caught out sometimes. mostly I get stung for the $2 when I'm at the pub and there's no other options but to get cashout from the ripoff ATM's...

I withdraw my cash from the butcher, via eftpos.

as far as I know, no fee

usually about $300 per week

he is happy as he less cash to handle

yep.. i get about 30 a month in interest if you dont use other banks atms you'll be fine.. and I'm pretty sure those fees were always there, its just that they let you know your gonna get money sucked out of your account now - how nice of them
