I don't use cash very often - means I get caught out sometimes. mostly I get stung for the $2 when I'm at the pub and there's no other options but to get cashout from the ripoff ATM's...

yep.. i get about 30 a month in interest
if you dont use other banks atms you'll be fine.. and I'm pretty sure those fees were always there, its just that they let you know your gonna get money sucked out of your account now - how nice of them
