Hi Sep, welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay here! My favourite thing on asf is the search tool (see toolbar above). If you have any query there is a good chance that some aspet of it would have been discussed previously- and if that doesn't cover it you are more than welcome to post a new message or thread. With a lot of difficulty - used to login to this site quite a few years ago - just to look and learn - couldn't think of the name but knew it had stock central in it somewhere - I finally typed in stock central au I think? and found it. It has changed - the oldies' names aren't here any more"!!! Can't thinkof their login names but they were so knowledgeable and obviously made quite a lot of money out of share market.

I think you may be remembering another site, as Aussie Stock Forums has only been around for just over a year now.

But I'm sure after hanging around here for a while, you'll find you won't have a need for any of those other stock forums.

Did a Google search for a certain mining company (Australian Mining Investments I think) and one of the "finds" led me to this site.

This has been the most helpful site I've found, especially for a newbie like myself. Have learnt alot.
The lack of personal attacks, ramping & general carry on is most refreshing. And everyone is extremely helpful in sharing their knowledge and offering advice/ideas.

Google "stock chat room" or something similar. Only ever checked out comsuc's chat rooms but they went through miseries last year with no last 25 posts, and miserable search engine. But did get a few good tips froom dull etc re pdn. But hated the arguments and abuse. Joined HC, and thought it was gggreat c/f comsuc! Then found asf and very much like the calmer disciplined approach and tight control on ramping. Good one. Still check comsuc on line chat rooms because it is very ueful during trading hours. Cheers
