So, what's your astute and cunning prediction of where the world will be in 1 year, 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years?

Give or take a few years.

Obviously Essendon will win the grand final in 3012, but beside that.



We will come back and revisit predictions at each milestone.

My 1 year prediction is that the CT will be dead or at least replaced with something more friendly.

100 years - Australians shoreline will be no longer be hammered by the many boats that used to keep arriving. Australian Govt will be full of people in whom the public has little to no confidence. Who wants to flee to a third world country...

My first controversial (maybe) call is that this will not be the century of China. Once China goes democratic (probably after a very bloody uprising) they will disintegrate.

My second less controversial call is that the US will maintain its position as the worlds pre-eminent and only super power. Their only threat is Mexico....in 100 years.

In 20 years 'traditional',family based, local fruit (I will stick with that, as that's what I know) producers will be goneski.
It will be a more corporately driven affair, or imported. They will be your options.

Some countries in Europe to be Islamised before 2050 (Germany/Belgium/France).
However, with extreme left/right parties emerging (look at Scandinavian countries) from the GFC and Austerity Measures (recent elections show that left field parties are in flavour at the moment), l think that a Germany pre WWII extermination could take place, which is very, very scary.

Looking at the past, in few years to 100 years after that they will fight for independence from the Earth

Going by the Nostradamas documentary many years ago, the only thing I remember was that one of the capital cities on the east coast of Australia was going to be hit by a tsunami, or similar.
Wars in Europe.
I cant remember the rest.
I do find them interesting.

Hopefully history doesnt repeat.
