SE1 was 6.0c when I posted my entry on 21/07; now its 9.0c. That's 50% foregone

Oh how I love the randomness of the pointy end of the market
....a very acceptable 20% retrace today for SE1, allowing for 7.2c start on Monday for my punt.

Second time this year I was pipped at the post -Aus Trader did it to me in Feb (86% increase to 80%).

I may sound like a broken record but am sticking with EXR for another month.

Timing of drilling announcements will make the differerence. Prospects and price will continue to grow with each new well, including in seperate deposits in a massive lease.

July was a pretty good month, to have 3 above 100%. No, I don't hold, but do hold the #3 placegetter. (... as a bit of irrational bias, in the monthly and year to date competitions, I have only ever held one; and that, DEM, is down 30%!). I was thinking about what could work as a general thrust of trying to find a winner over the the 30 day period. Macro themes must play a role, and possibly be a good guide for what is 'dartboard' stuff.
As both TNT and AR9 are cyber related, there was an announcement by the govt late June about cyber security saw a lot of interest (VOR and WHK also benefited). Ditto the big govt spend on defence saw OEc do well; others like DRO, EOS and XTE were active. Gold and Silver are hot sectors, and the approach of anticipating a run on Drill announcements makes a lot of sense (as does nearology and hitching a ride on a neighbour's success).
