Where is everyone from?

I'm from Townsville, capital of North Queensland.

Full of peace loving folk, largest army base in australia, /Manny Cassimatis, Cowboys Football Team, Ross Island Hotel, hundreds of churches and 1 mosque for godbotherers, an airport, coppers with revenue hangups for those who speed or don't wear bicycle helmets, Castle hill which ensures a rich supply of widows from forty five year old gits who walk up it each day, real estate agents who still wear white shoes and drive Bentleys, and a beautiful seafront called the strand where crocs and sharks mingle with southern visitors in the sea, providing no end of enjoyment for those sunday afternoon drinkers at the Seaview Hotel.

Paradise.

You bet.

gg

No offence GG but Townsville is overated. Much prefer Port Douglas Cairns when I'm in Aus.

haha, I've got almost the exact same 2 last photos from my trip up north a couple of months back. Almost had to do a double take to check they weren't actually mine.

Lived in Melbourne for the first bit of my life.. have lived on the Goldcoast for some 6 years, even though not the biggest fan.

Soon moving to Brisbane where I'll be for at least a couple of years.

One day would be looking to move to Cairns or Townsville, but only if I was well off enough not to be able to get by not earning a good wage.

I'm with GG in PARADISE of the north; no bl@^*y eyesore mud flats on our sea front, only beautiful beaches and the best looking birds (not the fluffy ones) in the north.

We also have MAGGIE ISLAND and of course the POSIERS BAR.

Sydney - but would rather be fishing down the south coast - or anywhere for that matter.

Genetically my mothers ancestors came from Cornwell, England in sailing ships. My Dad was from London after ww2. His merchant navy ship was blown up by a german raider the "Cormorant" and he was put onto a deserted pacific island for a few months before rescue. It was rare for the raiders to pick up enemy sailors. I could thank the German captain for my existence (in Australia).

overit got anymore photos looks great
