Ok here is my dilemma -actually the dilemma really is just my laziness! I currently have a Motorola V550 which at I have never read the instruction book for but basically know how to take a photo, text etc. However, I have been offered a Sony Ericsson Z550 and again can't be bothered reading the manual to decide which one is the better phone to keep. I am going to give the other away to a friend. Although, I think they both retailed for a similar amount I thought one might be better than the other. So any thoughts out there from people more savvy than myself to which might be the better one to keep. I promise I will read the book if somone chooses for me ..... Cheers, Spotty

Does anyone know if there's much in the way of price difference buying a mobile phone outright here versus overseas?

Liking the look of the Galaxy Note. Would a phone bought overseas be compatible with networks here? What questions would I need to ask?

... Cheers, Spotty

My sister sent me to buy a Sony Ericsson Xperia, soas she can tutor me!

Great

I bring it back ... she says, "Thats not an Experia X10".
I had bought the Experia X4, at quarter the price, it was nothing like hers.

I can't help, I have a Samsung that is 7 years old  (I think I am the only one in the world with such an old phone  )

Don't forget the charger may not be Oz compatible. Having to buy one might make it less worthwhile.

Keep with it I say. Museum piece in a few years. :xyxthumbs

People are amazed it's still working, apparently it is well past its use by. Not to mention death by misadventure which seems to be the fate of many a mobile before they actually wear out ;)

I actually dropped my Kindle in the bath a few months ago. It was fully submerged for about 5 - 10 seconds and it still works absolutely fine now. I'm still waiting for it to randomly die on me
