It's a while since we've had a bit of frivolity, so I thought it might be iinteresting to see what members would be prepared to do for a "prize" of $1Million.

Would you:

(a) swim 3kms in the sea, water temperature 16 degrees?

(b) walk from Alice Springs to Darwin in summer (with just enough water to prevent dehydration and minimal food, no back up vehicle?)

(c) dance naked at Circular Quay, Sydney?

(d) stand for Federal parliament?

(e) live on $100 p.w. for a month?

Any other suggestions as to what you might be prepared to do for the million would be welcome.

Or if you wouldn't do any of the above, is it because (a) you just don't need the money, or (b)you just couldn't bring yourself to any of them, regardless of the reward?

PS: I should be clear about this. I'm not offering the $1M to anyone who agrees to do any of the above!

Shucks Julia, here was I thinking this was a competition ,and you the prize giver!

A sort of later day "Who Dares Wins" with you ...the new Michael Whitney.

Apart from the fact that I could always use an extra Mill. I would like to think I could use it as an opportunity to chase a few demons...with some great incentive ,of course

1 Climb a decent sized mountain..K2 would do

2.Go on the Public speaking circuit

3 Tell a couple of my current clients where they can stick there F**** money!

Shallom and thanks for the fun

Julia, your list gets easier as you go down. :) I'll easily live on $100 p.w. for a month. I did that a few semesters in my uni days. Noodles + soy sauce have a special place in my heart.

Living on 100 pw for a month, wouldn`t be all that difficult I imagine, think about it,bills come every two or three months mainly,so other than the credit card bill and the internet bill you could easily eat well for 100 dollars.Plus I`d look all sexy and slim after one month of no junk food and healthy eating. In time to go and spend the million dollars.:)

OK. Clearly living on $100 p.w. for a month isn't any great challenge?
I'd better withdraw that one.
How about the others?

Put my head down and work for it. It's not that hard but it takes time, a little saving, smart investing and a lot of patience, It is perfectably legal, can be interesting and it is easy to live with your conscience.

Option C... dancing naked in Circular Quay sounds like fun... I probably shouldn't have deleted all that penis enlargement pill SPAM from my email though... :(

Geez, I'd even swim 16 kms in a water temperature of 3 degrees! Have to lard myself up first. Not a pretty sight. lol.

yes agree there $100 per week very easy, whilst living with a friend in a poorer time of my life i was living off $20 - 40 per fortnight for food.

noodles were a luxury, it was just toast and butter really! now im probably living off a little more than $100 per week (food alcohol, mostly alcohol), but i have skinted before and its not too hard. humans always find a way to cope!

(d) stand for Federal parliament?
Too easy! I stood for State legislature a few years ago, it was a heap of fun! I was thinking of having a crack at Federal this time around... anyone got that $1mil for me?

(c) dance naked at Circular Quay, Sydney?
Not if I'm going to do (d)

OF course, I am happily married... but a million bucks is a million bucks!

Clearly, apart from Nioka, you are a bunch of unprincipled exhibitionists!

I wish I had a spare million to offer. I'd love to see some of the suggested activities.

Anyone settle for a mere $100?
