BC8 - Black Cat Syndicate

Bit of a rally today with a report of batches of payments received for a contract mining jv and toll milling for Black Cat's Kalgoorlie East project. Start up costs have to be repaid to the contractor first.
pretty resilient share price performance given that there's a hangover of shares minted at 52c with a second tranche still to come. I don't feel the chart has spent enough time retracing for the rally to go far but not sure.

Will reduce at some point is the idea

Entered in the stock tipping comp.

Gold prices seem to be holding strong, and China is buying up gold.

Grades of ore are looking OK overall, and transitioning from explorer to producer.

Black Cat Syndicate - near term gold miner. Selected for CY25 comp.

BC8 appears to be one of the more attractive potential gold miners to investors in 2024. Price has gone higher throughout the year. The recent cap raise was heavily subscribed and price rallied soon after.

Keeping it real, I am assuming with fair confidence that the first gold in the clip above is from the early stage of commissioning the ball mill. It is purely gravity derived and was announced 23 Dec. There's nothing announced from the more complex carbon circuit yet as not enough has built up.
Today was a chart gap up on high volume. Not a very constructive looking chart at this time though, with a deeply overlapping low of the prior high and a messy broadening appearance?

Held
Tradeable to free carry

It's just following the gold prices up, I think Paulsens is running low grade ore through it from old tailings at the moment.

The big dollars will come when all 3 mines are producing and if the gold prices still hold high.

Good luck everyone.

Keen on BlackCat great timing to be starting up with production in this gold bull market and the low aus dollar environment. they have substantial reserves and could easily be swallowed up by larger producers.

now presents a buying opportunity
I'm not so sure myself. One scenario I meant to comment on earlier is that of a 'double top' reversal which might see a continuation of the current short term downdraft to, say, 0.55. This would probably not be due to any fundamental factor imo but just a corrective action from overbought momentum or a response to a dip in the gold price. A positive signal might be, say, a weekly close above the daily closes in December and January @ around 0.75? Or earlier than that, just a strong break outside the daily downtrend of the last few weeks would get me optimistic again.

I got out ages ago at 73 cents, something really strange going on here as the stock should be well over $1.00.

They've gone above and beyond every production target.

I personally feel it's got more in it with patience. It's the short term I'm more doubtful of. Every stock gets its downturns after a strong rally.
I bid you look at that widening gap between the shorter and longer term moving averages. So I'm not reading any fundamental cause into it myself. Impossible for me to intrinsically value a start-up like this though so I'm relying a lot on chart hunches. Content to ride out what I suspect is a correction, although if a trader you were wise getting out above 70c. I've held on too long before in the early history of this company however, so - it's a punt!

Pretty good! Best mover today in my gold producer watchlist, up 9% on moderate volume
The way I'm looking at it, today is a surprisely strong move outside the 3 week downtrend that BC8 has been following and for now I'm ditching the idea of an active double top. Optimism is back and another challenge of the 0.75 level seems likely?

BC8 @ 0.75
Chart looks like it wants to go higher. I'll pick that fairly confidently but some non confirmation in the first momentum indicator has me a bit edgy. Higher.

Still hesitating ing about reducing to free carry

Not a bad idea, although the last time a company I was in did this it eventually crashed and burned - that was Hill End Gold (HEG).
If I don't get one for myself maybe I could get one for someone I've exchanged words with here.
Edit: not a compelling frontal design but at least one can be sure of authenticity

Would you buy one for your favourite batrachian?😂

More seriously, why would you bother?
Transport and insurance costs for a few coins could surprisingly match your local bullion shop.so would be more expensive..
Maybe sentimental value if you made a killing on the shares the previous quarter?
