I was just listening to a constitutional lawyer in the US saying that Biden's preemptive pardon of Fauci and the J6 committee at al., it's not legal.

I thought it had to be based on an actual crime. But apparently Nixon was given a similar pardon as well as someone else way back in history (Didn't verify the Nixon thing).
I wonder if Joe having dementia would have any standing?

A lawyer will give an opinion on an object thats totally absent in colour as being red.
Until something is arbitated and judged upon in the top court of the land, everything is open to interpretation.
I doubt that the GOP are truly interested in Fauci , Biden's family, or maybe even General Miley.
What they want is to be able to prove all the allegations they made, that will turn the general population even further against the dems.
Plus they can constantlly replay those sound bites where MSM, members of the universities, the Hollywood set etc told everyone about the far right, the conspiracy theories etc..
Its always the politics.

The very fact that such a preemptive pardon was instituted by Biden, says something doesn't it?
There is no question that the doj was weaponized against the Democrat's political rivals. So should such acts be prosecuted? If Fauci et al. was singularly responsible for the most egregious incident of totalitarianism in the modern Western world, should he be prosecuted?
FFS, people are being put in prison for years for mean tweets. On that basis, and a true proportionality were a legal principle, people like Fauci should be hung, drawn and quartered in my opinion.

Additionally, the granting of pardon must be accepted by the pardonee and is an explicit admittance of guilt, apparently.
