Hi all, I'm trying to venture into doing some of my own analysis but I'm really struggling getting good data for modelling. Most of the sites recommended in previous threads don't seem to be running any more. I've got belldirect and commsec accounts but the data on those is pretty useless. I signed up for the 2 week trial of stock doctor and the data is exactly what I'm looking for, but I just want to check if there are other people offering it for less than the $1600/year that they're asking

Thanks Howard,
I want to crunch the numbers on Joel Greenblatt's Magic Formula, so:
  • Market Cap
  • P/E
  • EBIT
  • EV
  • ROA
  • ROE
I'm wanting the data in a format where I can export to csv to manipulate and rank it.

Can you use the Morning Star stock filter tool? It's in my broker platform. Not sure if it's a paid for service with Morning Star directly. I just did a quick exercise with filters using "> 0" for the criteria and it dumped out a table that could be easily copied and pasted into Excel.

Morningstar wont work for the metrics rb250660 is seeking, they are far too inaccurate and out of date.

It's also worth noting that Morningstar may be calculating P/E differently than what you would expect.
