So where are we now?Things aren't going too well in Russia.
The EU has just imposed its 12th package of sanctions.
Interest rates have gone to 16%.
inflation is officially at 7.5%. Eggs for instance are up 40%.
20% depreciation of the rouble against the $US.
Next year Russia is budgeting $160 billion to keep fighting Ukraine and revenue from oil is 41% lower than last year.
Unrest may occur.
Putin’s choice: The war or his people
Russia’s economy is starting to buckle as the West tightens its grip, and there’s no relief in sight. Vladimir Putin may have a decision to make.www.theage.com.au
So what are you suggesting should happen with Russia and China? And their ally, Iran.So where are we now?
Price of eggs in Australia?, the AUD was 78 cents usd 2 years ago, now 66c
Inflation officially here?
But not my fuel insurances, taxes bills ..
Should I carry on?
Thanksfully, my son does not risk being enlisted..yet against China. but I have the feeling the last "defence budget" on subs, planes, etc was not that small somewhat bigger than 160 billions reported to size, and none of them domestically spent...
Just putting perspectives ..in April 24
But fair, the real screwed up are the EU. Even just France or Germany
Well I doubt many on ASF, have any idea what is going on economically in Russia, to tell you the truth. LolConsidering this is ASF, i'm guessing economical?
Of course not, it is a disaster zone, their missile are built with washing machine, and we are so vastly superior with rainbow hair LGBT society and Muslim friendly immigration.Well I doubt many on ASF, have any idea what is going on economically in Russia, to tell you the truth. Lol
We are so deep in **** it is not funny and for the US, hot war is actually the only option to keep some legitimacySo what are you suggesting should happen with Russia and China? And their ally, Iran.
well if you follow official media in Australia , UK , US and EU ..Well I doubt many on ASF, have any idea what is going on economically in Russia, to tell you the truth. Lol
As long as Russia agrees to only take part of Ukraine then we can have "peace in our time".We are so deep in **** it is not funny and for the US, hot war is actually the only option to keep some legitimacy
Sadly our clowns here are siding with the losing team, and will be the ones sacrificed for the land of Greats.
If last 2 years and the EU state is not a lesson, nothing will.
For decades, Iceland and Finland benefited of an inbetweeners role between west and USSR
If we were a bit less brain-dead, we could act same between China and the US, benefit economically ,keep harmony and help the world, instead, we are putting ourself as the sacrificial anode in the coming war and adding provocations with our key economic purchaser ....
Russia will get what it wanted from the start: a buffer zone east of Ukraine, making sure its Russian inhabitants ..roughly 50% of Ukraine population before the partition , are kept safe.
We have thrown Russia away from the west and into the arm of China, oil gas pipes are being built as we speak and we managed to ensure no coming key country in the future will ally with the west: Nigeria, India, Indonesia , recently Saudi Arabia, etc etc.
There is more future for a Russian kid , who is at school learning maths, sciences and now mandarin than for a US living kid, sparking spanish, obese, and getting a degree in transgender studies.
Some opportunities can happen once, not like the share marketand the west, actually the EU blew it bit time with Russia imho..economically and politically
Time will tell and we will not wait long for that one: 2 decades max
well it was considered ( by the Russians ) the Western Ukraine would be difficult and unrewarding as the majority of the locals would aid insurgency as they are not seen as ethnic Russians/Slavs something similar to another AfghanistanAs long as Russia agrees to only take part of Ukraine then we can have "peace in our time".
What about Estonia, it has been allowed to join NATO but has a massive boundary with Russia and important links to the North Sea and is close to Finland.
Putin has basically told their PM that they will be next. No way it can be defended. Hand it over? Or draw a red line?
Only naive or uneducated people would not agree that Ukraine conflict was planned by the Biden clique and started a decade ago.As long as Russia agrees to only take part of Ukraine then we can have "peace in our time".

I do not believe ..so far...there was such a scheme in Estonia
I hope Ukraine will raise the white flag, let the Russian provinces join Russia and keep a neutral zone.

So yes, this is pro Poutine.
And yes, Poutine is a bastard, a dictator but I genuinely believe he works more for his country than Biden was..he is now senile...or any of the EU leaders....
If the hedge fund manager is Bill Browder, it should be a good podcast. He fits the description. Bill is "the" expert on Russian corruption and lost some good friends to Putin's reign of terror.Interesting podcast " Latest on Russsia etc " 612 ABC Radio's Nightlife ( first hour of last week's Thursday 5 May ) episode.
Two well informed experts : Aussie Prof. Paul Dibb , a former defence intelligence official and a U. K . based hedge fund manager , chucked out of Putin's gangster state , for exposing corruption in state owned corporations , 20 years ago .
Will see how it goes @Knobby22 , I visited St Petersburg just before Covid, and saw a place full of energy, happy people..but no smile..please we are Russian LOLYou have certainly shown your colours.
I believe you are being naive.
There is a company in Australia called Coolon run by Russian engineers that is now hugely successful. You should shout them lunch and tell them they should have stayed in Russia for the sake of their children.
Putin is a dictator, the country is hopelessly corrupted. The people hate him. He has taken their riches for himself and his mates and the general population is going backwards with everyone eager to leave.
He has delusional plans to become the next Peter the Great.
The USA letting him do what he wants will let him succeed. Even taking Ukraine will let him have the breadbasket of Europe to which he did the deal pre-war with China to export the grain.
Obviously he will have to take Moldova if he has Ukraine; and Estonia, and Latvia will then be the only Nato states adjacent Russia so something will have to happen there also.
I doubt many people in general have any idea either, lots of stuff is gatekept there pretty muchWell I doubt many on ASF, have any idea what is going on economically in Russia, to tell you the truth. Lol
Oh yeah, the religion of peace is coming in hot, with the LGBT supporting them although they are to be unalived/beaten in their holy book, i feel like our race is losing braincells, we're making a u-turn on evolution and doing it all backwardsOf course not, it is a disaster zone, their missile are built with washing machine, and we are so vastly superior with rainbow hair LGBT society and Muslim friendly immigration.
I know, I watch the news
