What stocks did you get wrong?

Hey Julia I timed OKN to perfection, but recognised it stank compared to its competitors....so got out on its reports.
Hi Condog, when did you find reports which indicated it 'stank'? I didn't come across any such thing when I was checking.
I'd be curious to have a link to this info if possible.
Good for you on your timing.

I subscribe to a number of analysts and reports, 2 of them sited problems with it , & when the address to shareholders came out in October OKN had major write downs, redundancies and its profit was predicted to be flat for 2010......despite a soaring share price.... I do fundamentals on these types of stocks and that tipped its intrinsic value down the drain......

Technically I should correct myself. It doesnt stink, it just showed very little upside compared to its main two competitors.....SMX and DTL

Thanks Condog. That's a good example of checking the fundamentals rather than just using the price action.

BBI: bought in at an average of 0.10 on the word of a DBCT manager who said that even after debts each BBI share had an asset value of $1.... only to be wiped out with their dodgy "recapitalization" deal with 0.04/sh & 33 prime shares for my troubles, plus a loss of $30,000... worse part is i changed my mind on investing in LYC to sink my 'hard earned' into BBI.... LYC now 300% up on their SP at that time! DOH! :banghead:

CUO: bought in before their disasterous merger deal, liquidated out of existance with a $20,000 loss

thats it so far thank god! (touch wood!)

bought AGG at $7, went down to $4. Held it til it went back up and broke even but then went to $10.
