One of the stars of the snooker program "Pot Black" in the 1970's, and 6 times World snooker Champion Ray Reardon has died age 91.

He was still playing and made a century break after his 91st birthday.

John Mayall, the linchpin of the British blues scene who gave a platform to some of the 20th century’s greatest rock musicians, has died aged 90.
 
Alain Fabien Maurice Marcel Delon; 08 November 1935 – 18 August 2024, was a French actor and producer. Acknowledged as a cultural and cinematic leading man of the 20th century, Delon emerged as one of the foremost European actors of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. His style, looks, and roles which made him an international icon, earned him enduring popularity .
 
Jean- Pierre Melville 's " The Samurai "probably his best role ever , in one the greatest of the " films noire " genre to come out of France.
From memory he didn't have much to say in the movie , just the look on his face said it all ,about this contract killer with a heart of stone .
In an interview he once described it as a film about a hard , difficult man utterly alone in the world .
