Vale pixel

Wow. Being new here I didn' know Pixel but I certainly recognize the name. Posting right to the end. Obviously a strong part of this community. RIP Pixel and condolences to everyone for the loss.

That sucks. Same type of cancer my dad died from.

Let's hope there is an "other side".

Shocked and saddened by this and I didn't even know he was ill.

His posts suggest he really knew his craft and while we are fortunate enough to study his work on ASF and elsewhere it's still pretty clear that some of his valuable secrets will have gone with him.

Condolences to family and friends.

Very sad to hear this. From what little exchanges I had with pixel he came across as a genuine, fair person. RIP. Condolences to his family.

Shocked, never conversed that much with Pixel but somehow it was a comfort that he was always around RIP and condolences to the family.

Oh man... I'm lost for words.

What a fantastic contributor! One of my favourite things was to hit 'recent posts' and find pixels name as the most recent poster on some obscure spec stock, always incredible what he had found.

You are missed, pixel. R.I.P. My condolences to his family and friends.

Thank you, Jo. I am collating responses from forums Udo frequented to send to his wife, Dagmar. She will be very happy to know Udo's contributions were so very well respected. Best regards, Sue.
You're welcome Sue. Udo was a much loved member of the ASF community as you can tell by the posts in this thread. If there is anything I can do for Dagmar, at what must be a very difficult and stressful time for her, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Please be sure to send her, and his family, our condolences.

My condolences to his family, and he will be missed as a frequent contributor to ASF.

@Joe Blow @peter2 I think it'd be a nice gesture to close the May comp with Pixel the winner as per @peter2 post above, if everyone agreed? Maybe don't clog the thread if you do agree, just PM Joe if you disagree and like my or peter2's post if you agree. Anyway, it was just a thought and will leave it with you.

I think that's a great idea.

Not much more I can contribute other than to say Pixel my exchanges with him on another forum was constructive, pleasant and informative and he always came across to me as a true gentleman. Condolences to the family.

I was out and about this morning and didn't get back in until the leaderboard had updated and could not be rolled back. Pixel was then in second place but is now tied for first place. After a great deal of thought, I think the competition should continue as normal until the end of the month. I'm sure Udo was the kind of bloke who would want to win fair and square. However, to honour his memory his avatar will now watch over the competition leaderboard for the remainder of his final stock tipping competition.

the cat taps at the dish
a dish of fish
the cat taps at the bowl of water
it shimmers as the devil's daughter
the cat paws a whisker with nothing to rue
contemplates a snooze, maybe two

a very cool cat, with a deft walk
light footed purr
licks, from the fish in the dish
curls up in another world

the cat that sat in this pad has ......many friends
