I regret to inform the ASF community that Udo Stegen aka pixel passed away on Saturday 12 May after a long battle with mesothelioma.

Udo was a respected and prolific contributor to ASF and other stock market forums and continued to trade and actively participate in the various communities he frequented right up until the end. His last log in here was Friday evening.

I had a considerable amount of contact with Udo via PM and was aware of his illness, especially as his health started to decline in recent times. Udo was a true gentleman, polite and generous to a fault and always willing to assist others.

He will be missed.

I can see him sitting down with Julia now discussing the way of the world.
I was in Perth Last year and couldn't find the time to catch up. Regret!
Pixel was a great and considered member of this forum and like Julia will
never be replaced. He had a lot to give and gave it freely.

You just never know how long we will all be here.

Cheers mate.

Oh dear, that’s so sad joe. RIP Pixel....what a great contributor....

That's very sad. RIP and my heartfelt condolences to his family.

We'll not forget pixel's charts with his fav yellow boxes. I thought they were a bit jaundiced but pixel wouldn't change them. He was a keen spec hunter and break-out trader.

I had a running jest with him over his fav diamond miner (LOM). Whenever they found a large carat diamond or price broke of a yellow box, pixel would let us know. Pixel, you are a pure 100 carat diamond member of ASF.

Pixel, I am saddened by this news of your departure.

This forum was greatly enriched by your presence, and now your presence will be greatly missed.

My thoughts are with you.

It's always sad to hear the death of a familiar name and face on ASF. Though I don't post much these days, pixel was always giving the penny dreadfuls a go and a half. R.I.P pixel and I hope the pussycat has a stable home to remain in.

Very surprised! There was no indication in his posts he was near death. Agree he was a gentleman and helpful. Goodbye Pixel.

Pause the comp.

I always looked forward to Pixel's posts on the General Chat forum as they were civil, entertaining and informative, and I wondered what happened to him when these became less frequent.

I guess when we have to go, all we can ask is that we can retain our cognitive senses as long as possible which he obviously did as he posted on Friday.

Another well loved poster who we shall all miss.

RIP Pixel and condolences to his family.

RIP Pixel.
One of the good guys.

Pixel corresponded with me over email a few years ago and wrote an important code for the spreadsheet I use to this day!

I really enjoyed Pixels posts on this forum.....So sad to lose another favourite member....RIP and my condolences to his family.
