I thought i would start a thread for this as i could seem to find one.

I purchased Tradeguider about a month ago. So far its been great and provided some great backup for trading decisions that i've made recently.

Today i could not start the application though...i get this....Also the Tradeguider site is not responding either...Can anyone help me?

Why should TG be validating my subscription...i paid for this outright! How the heck are you supposed to analyse anything when this happens?

Not impressed:mad:

Steve thought Id post my reply to your private question here in case there are more effected than you and I.

The problem is clearly Tradeguider.
I would say they are doing something on their end and when finished all will be OK.

I'm sure everyone who has it is in the same boat.

Every time you open TG it authenticates your license. I cannot get in either so as tech/a has said, they must be doing some work at their end. Its never happened to me before so its a rarity.

Thanks for the replys Nick and Tech....

I'm not sure i'm really comfortable with this. What happens if something more permanent happened to thier site? Also, why shouldn't I be able to use TG EOD offline? Is thier prop. code that important that they must protect it like this?

Anyway, I tried the site and its back, so then I booted up TG and its working again...they must get some complaints about this.

cheers,

This is the message on their website, I also beleive it was on the COTW email sent out a few days ago...

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO ESSENTIAL MAINTENENCE THE TRADEGUIDER SERVER WILL BE OFFLINE BETWEEN 4:00PM and 8:00PM CST ON FRIDAY 16TH NOVEMBER.

(not my spelling):)

Same thing has happened to me today..this time the TG website is up and running......very frustrating.

Been contacted by 3 others in the same boat. Myself included.

We are all annoyed!
Mind you the US isnt trading and we are just small fry!

They need a 'plan b' for authenticating users, this is unacceptable. Small fry or not, we're still customers.

Hi There C.

Maybe unplanned outage, or maintainance... on whole system

Do they have a outage schedule listed somewhere or are they contactable
via email....

I agree.

But I do have a plan "B" and "C".
Best not to rely on just one

I'm interested in purchasing Tradeguider (EOD) can anyone recommend an appropriate data feed for this? I am currently with NAB and IB but I don't know how I can directly integrate my data this with the software, NAB can provide EOD data in Metastock format but it must be done manually for each stock (at least I think this is the case?). In addition does anyone use the RT version, it looks as though you can only use eSignal for this, is this OK and is ASX data supported by eSignal (it's not too clear on their website).

cheers

If you want EOD data in Metastock format I will unequivocally recommend Norgate/Premium Data.

Esignal does offer ASX data for RT applications.

Thanks for the info Timmy. Just received my EOD software and have installed it. I have downloaded one year worth of EOD data for a single stock from NAB in metastock format, it spits it out in a .txt format. Tradeguider searches but doesn't seem to be able to find the data. Do I need to change the file extension ( I tried with a .sym extension but still doesn't work). I'm not familiar with metastock files so any advice would be appreciated. cheers.

Hi LL – I think the data must need to be in Metastock file format for TG to read it, not in .txt or another format. Is there a way you can point your software in which direction to find the files, which directory etc.? Check also that NAB have provided the file in Metastock format; all my data in Metastock file format has the extension .dat or .mws … Sorry but I have reached the limit of my technical knowledge here, maybe someone else can be of more help.

Hi all

I am thinking about purchasing tradeguider. Before shelling out the money, I would like to here from some users. A few questions, can you figure out VSA without purchasing the software? (I have read the full book). How can you try before you buy (no trial versions, a leap of faith in my opinion). After purcahsing the software is it easy to use and is the support any good?

Appreciate user comments.

Opinions will vary but I would say yes you can.

I thought TG had a 30-day money-back guarantee? Maybe that is no longer the case, but if they do then that's not a bad trial.
