  • 10-year yield : US 4.34%, Australia 4.39%

US markets whipsawed on Friday,- so what's new? Vix down but still high; -3.16 to 37.56. In the end, Dow +1.6%, S&P +1.8%, Nasdaq +2.1%. Ten year bonds hit 4.6% before retreating, while 30-year hit 5 percent.

For Monday, ASX futures are pointing up 18 points or 0.2 per cent to 7678.

  • Gold +1.9% to $US3237.61 an ounce
  • Brent oil +2.2% to $US64.73 a barrel
