Lots of good news. Strong SP rise. Yep now is the time and market sentiment to top up the bank balances for ongoing development.

Really wish I had got back in early at $1.10. That was a seriously good price.

In reflection the capital raising is a planned and obvious process.

Talga is moving well but will need further funds. The Webinar presentation highlights how well the ducks are looking. They arn't short of cash at the moment so thyere is no SP pressure. So SP is strong on the good news and the presentation. Now is the time to hit the capital market.

Talga proves up some more resource... there's still a large area to drill.

Also, a presentation to European Battery conference is up; focusing on the local (Swedish) supply chain and attendant benefits.

From elsewhere on the site

In January 2023 TLG entered a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) with Verkor to supply the company’s graphite anode product from its Vittangi project in Sweden...

Today 13/04/23 it was published that Renault Group and Verkor have entered a long-term partnership to supply 12 GWh per year of batteries for electric vehicles
.

One I am watching to see if they can make an investible business out of it, huge upside according to the narrative, but a zero is still a real possibility. Sort of thing you either put a few speccy dollars in at the very beginning and just bottom drawer it, or wait until it proves to be an actual profitable business.

Taken a while; the checks and balances of a post-industrial nation !!
Oh yes it does. Now dropping, closed at $1.60.

"The appeal submission period for the Company’s Nunasvaara South graphite mine environmental and Natura 2000 permit, granted by the Swedish Land and Environment Court on 05 April, closed on the 26 April 2023.

"The Court has confirmed receiving six submissions regarding the Permit, five of which include requests for extension of time to submit required details with respect to a reason for appeal. Of the six submissions two were submitted by local Reindeer Herding Cooperatives with remaining submissions made by individuals and local non-profit environmental organisations.

"The Court will now refer the submissions to the Land and Environment Court of Appeal for a decision on the requests for extension..."

Death by committee . Funded by whom? Opel ? Russia?

Good afternoon,
@Telamelo

Nice announcement today (08/05/23) - see attached

The three-day main hearing to assess whether to grant the Refinery environmental permit application in the Swedish Land and Environment Court ("Court") concluded 5 May 2023. On the final day of the hearing, the Court advised that it plans to publish its decision on 21 June 2023. The Court’s decision will be subject to certain rights of appeal. Luleå Municipality granted the building permits for the Refinery production facilities earlier this year. The building permits entered into force on 24 March 2023

SP didn't do too much ... Volume was a disappointment.
Not holding.

Kind regards

Big piece has fallen into place. EIB has approved 150 m Euro cornerstone finance for their factory build.
Getting the finance in place for building the Anode plant is the biggie.

European Investment Bank funding approval for Talga’s Swedish Battery Anode Project

Battery materials company Talga Group Ltd (“Talga” or “the Company”) (ASX:TLG) is pleased to
advise that the European Investment Bank (“EIB”) board has approved €150 million senior debt
funding to underpin Talga’s Vittangi Anode Project (“Project”) in Sweden.

The Project will use 100% renewable electricity to produce an initial 19,500tpa of green anode for
lithium-ion batteries from an integrated mine and anode refinery operation in northern Sweden
(ASX:TLG 1 July 2021). The Project is expected to create hundreds of jobs locally, contribute to
Sweden’s efforts to transition to a clean energy economy and help reduce Europe’s reliance on
imported battery materials for electric vehicles (EVs).

Talga is targeting Project debt gearing of up to 60% and the EIB’s financing, subject to final
negotiations, will form part of the debt financing package being finalised with multiple leading export
credit agencies, commercial banks and international financial institutions. Following this approval, loan
documentation is being agreed between the EIB and Talga, including customary terms and conditions
for a financing facility of this nature.

As the lending arm of the European Union, the EIB is one of the world’s largest providers of climate
finance. The EIB’s approval follows extensive project due diligence, including market, technical,
environmental and social due diligence.

Yeeesss. Well I ran with another of my perennial hopefuls (WIN) . Still waiting for that boat to come in..

TLG has jumped 12.4% today and around 20% in June. Big volume and still climbing.

There are anode agreements on the table. The factory plans are well progressed. The key funding now seems secure. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a positive re assessment of Talgas prospects in the near future by larger investors.

Anode plant permitted. $1.37

Talga Managing Director, Mark Thompson, commented: “The Court’s decision to permit Europe’s first commercial natural graphite anode plant is an exciting milestone for both Talga and the green transition. We are thrilled to move to the next stage of project development and to commence groundworks for the construction of the anode plant in Luleå."

Quarterly Report came in last week. Summarized a number of very positive ticks for the Anode project.
Also important to note that the development of their next stage anode is also looking promising .

Quarterly Activities/Appendix 5B Cash Flow Report (PDF 15,082.2 KB)

Talga just released a life cycle assessment which demonstrates how green their new anode is. Significant in terms of encouraging European customers.

Talga’s battery anode sustainability underpins leadership position in European market
• In a new peer-reviewed Life Cycle Assessment, manufacture of Talga’s flagship anode product
Talnode®-C has 92% less global warming potential than existing EV anodes imported into Europe

• LCA shows potential savings of 1.6 tonne CO2-eq in production of an EV battery1

• Strong green credentials underpin Talga’s leadership position in European market where new
battery regulations are increasing sustainability requirements for battery manufacturers2

Talga Group Ltd (“Talga” or “the Company”) (ASX:TLG) is pleased to announce a new peer reviewed
Life Cycle Assessment (“LCA”) of Talnode®-C, the Company’s natural graphite battery anode, which
demonstrates a 92% lower emissions profile than incumbent synthetic technology used by industry.

These strong environmental credentials underpin Talga’s engagements with both customers and
finance partners, including the European Investment Bank which recently approved €150 million
senior debt funding to underpin Talga’s Vittangi Anode Project (“Project”) (ASX:TLG 20 June 2023),
a vertically integrated mine-to-anode project based in northern Sweden.

The LCA shows substantial environmental benefits are possible by avoiding the use of fossil-fuel
power to either produce natural graphite anode or graphitise petroleum/coal derived feedstocks for
energy intensive synthetic graphite anode production, as is the case with anode technology currently
imported into Europe from Asia.

The industry leading LCA estimate for Talnode®-C is achieved through Talga’s use of 100% Swedish
renewable hydropower, high-grade natural graphite ore (naturally graphitised with high mine-to-anode
yield ratio) and proprietary anode production technology (ASX:TLG 1 July 2021).

battery anode). Source: Global warming potential data from Talnode®-C LCA prepared by Minviro Ltd.
