Academically it really depends how you define "property"

Great one to throw up to godbotherers.

It reminds me of a scene from "Pulp Fiction".

If I were a movie director I'd be gearing up for a film about this.

I'd prefer to be sitting behind Mr.Augusto though.

Just put a lock on the gate mate to the exclusion of all others.

Is that what you are saying?

My history can dismiss their history? :burn:

What a great guy. Serves them right. Sends a pretty clear message.

Though if it was in Australia, I'm sure he would be jailed for a long time. And the surviving robbers would get a slap.

I'm not so sure of that. If you take a good hard look at the bottom of the harbour schemes of previous governments, a slap would certainly not be involved more like a palm-greasing exercise.

Unless you’re in Australia.

I remember a case where a publican bashed a robber. Robber then sued publican for excessive force and got a $50k payout

This sort of nonsense happens with indecent frequency.
Needs to be a law change so it can't happen.

I thought it had in the wake of that incident.

Yes it did to a degree, also might have changed again since. I think instead (as an example) of the publican having to prove his innocence, the robber now has to prove the publicans guilt in court. Was a while since I heard it and only half listening so might be full of holes

Outside the emergency room entrance of the hospital, at 113th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, relatives and friends of the dead and wounded men screamed and wailed in anguish as word of what had happened spread.

I'm guessing the families will take civil action now
