The Sharemarket College

:spam: explosion

Hi Waza,

Early last week we were contacted by a Mr. Graeme Rogers, a Director of The Sharemarket College.

Mr. Rogers claims that certain unspecified content posted in this thread is "defamatory, misleading, deceptive and inaccurate". According to Mr. Rogers, this unspecified content violates "the rules you have in your terms and conditions of use" and "has now cost The Sharemarket College its good standing in the community".

We are always happy to remove any content that can be demonstrated to be false or defamatory but Mr. Rogers has not yet provided us with the specifics of any such content.

We have let Mr. Rogers know that he is welcome to exercise his right of reply and is free to register at ASF and post in this thread to correct any information that he believes to be misleading, deceptive or inaccurate, but he has so far declined to take advantage of this opportunity.

I just cannot believe the negative things people are saying about the share market college. Let me tell you my story. After a terrible divorce I didn't know what to do but then I met with the wealth creators at the share market college they blew me away. After borrowing $15000 to study at their prestigious campus in kangaroo point I can safely say that I will be a trading millionaire one day just like the people on wall street. The trainer is Jason and when he waves his magical super wand over the stock market charts it all makes sense. He's such a good stock market trainer he's probably a millionaire ten times over. Even at the information night before I joined there was a currency trader told us about hedging and how superannuation companies rip you off AND he drives a Porsche!!! That was sooooo exciting because there must be millionaire traders everywhere at the sharemarket college. Not that you would tell from the campus but one of the expert staff told me the campus looks run down because they believe in putting their money into the stock market and not into other things. The software people complain about is amazing and it even tells you what stocks or shares to buy and when. I can't wait to be a millionaire trader and to show off to all of the nay Sayers in this forum. I went from being scared of banks to being excited and I can't wait to start buying stocks, shares or even gold!

Wow! Its hard to tell if this is a really bad spammer from the Sharemarket College, a really good spammer from another 'college' pretending to be a really bad spammer from the sharemarket college, or just someone having a laugh. Either way, thanks for the laugh, this was very funny!

You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him. ~ Leo Aikman

$500k industry super fund balance @2% fee p.a. you just dropped $10k for nothing. Even if you pay 1% or .5 it all adds up. Could roll out a list of 50 people I know that who roll $7k each year for nothing in about 20 seconds. If we peel away the layers of the onion there are probably a lot bigger faceless men who hide behind tv ads and marketing that we should be really be concerned about. Always easier to prey on the little guy.

Joe,
after reading chartman999, I was of the impression Mr Rogers had just taken the opportunity??
or am I just cynical...

Seems there is a one post stand off between countryboy and chartman?

I would have thought that anyone who thinks they'll be a millionaire off someone else's back wouldn't know how to spell Porsche. Or know the difference between a future or a forward for that matter.

The guy just finished the course using probably some hindsight cherry picked curve fitted trades and some backtested results and then suddenly he is on his road to a millionaire. If it was that easy and I have been trading forex and stocks for a while now, they would be more millionaires out there just trading. Maybe it is 95% millionaires and the 5% mugs who hasn't done any formal get rich quick courses peppered by the cold callers. Just my humble opinion. :banghead:

If you all think that the sharemarket college is not legit and nothing more than a scam to wrench money from unsophisticated investors and put it into the pockets of stock brokers how do you explain this news article from a few years back in the Sydney a Morning Herald???

http://www.smh.com.au/business/the-seven-signs-of-a-raging-investment-ripoff-20100717-10f6k.html

Well?? Where are all your little negative comments now? If they were a joke then the prestigious SMH newspaper would not be writing about them. Haters always hate.

Well if it looks like a dog and barks like a dog it probably is...well, a dog.

Prove otherwise then!! And I don't mean one little article a zillion yrs. ago.

The only positive comments are from first time posters...get real you Sharemarket college employees...do you think we all fell off a Christmas tree. Who are really the dummies?

Isn't that contradictory in itself and enough to realise a monkey is typing?

if you are still a hater of the sharemarket college for no reason what so ever then you need to read this link for more proof. The sharemarket college has a long history of giving financial advice.

In the article the director of the sharemarket college is quoted telling people how easy it is to trade so maybe instead of hating succesful people you should read the link and use your brains and learn how to trade shares and stocks the smart way.

What an absolute load of rubbish. The article does not in any way whatsoever endorse the sharemarket college. It's only the principals referred to in the article claiming that accolade.

Your PR attempt is pathetic in the extreme. Your job is done and you may leave now.

I couldn't have said it any better myself - well done Juddy

I didn't even get as far as the juicy bits of the article - as soon as I looked at the date of the article (nearly 4 years ago) made it irrelavent. However, anyone who is gullible enough to believe crap like this doesn't deserve any sympathy if they have invested in it.

so Bort now one has been outed where does that leave you?

Sorry for the tardy reply in my defence - been a bit busy. People seem to have forgotten about the GFC and that that its a fact black swans do exist and we found them in Australia. Raging homo bull market in stocks you know.

To sum up my tardiness and the errors in my ways I've read all thousand pages of McMillans Options as a Strategic investment twice only to realise that all I need to do is buy low volatility blue chips like Rio Tinto at $100 write some calls, check in with my RBS broker so I can get the next big thing like Senex or Tissue therapies and wait for a takeover. The rest of my portfolio is in Woolies and Westfarmers and the all 6 banks because if I cared about correlation I would have paid more attention in econometrics class or something like that.

All tripe aside shoot as many questions as you like. Anonymity here seems the norm unless you own a business with an advertising budget (which I do not) so I can't see any problem in philosophical rap.

After all Niederhoffer's twitter feed is near indecipherable so at some point in the future I'll feel compelled to see what the latest asf shoot out is. I get visions of 1999 just thinking of a forum shoot out.

Best wishes for a happy life.

It is good to see that Russell Johnson is now sentenced to a long stretch the the 'slamma..........may he rot in hell.

Although as a convicted criminal with family members probably running shotgun.....no doubting him and the family will probably turn up soon somewhere else.....probs scamming unsuspecting people....ruining lives.

Actually...I would bet that he is probably scheming something right now in his lonely jail cell...... I wonder who would be stupid enough to work with him?

I am a little perplexed as to why an entity such as the Sharemarket College would recommend a broker or have a relationship, however loose, with an organisation where a CHESS advice, indicating ownership of shares, was not issued to the customer.

I would have thought that would be one of the first signs of danger for the clients involved.

Curve fitting and backtested results would imply use of a mechanical strategy and an ability to curve fit...

I joined because I had to to write my comments. I'm not interested in fighting about them, just wanted to add my comments. Have a great weekend everyone

So they require staff members to post on a website crappin' on the SMC to get credibility?

WOWZERS!!
