No a murderer is a murderer, I think tagging them in some way tries to differentiate and in some way either condone, condemn or apportion the severity of the crime.

I would prefer they just said a group of murderer's where captured and will be dealt with, all it does tagging them is either inflame a sympathetic group of loonies or encourage a anti group of loonies.

We need to move past the demonising and dividing politics and media presentations and move toward a center where it is news but it really doesn't require sensationalising.

Somewhat like what happened when they stopped reporting how many people suicide, or reporting the racial background of crime perpetrators.

Maybe I'm weird, because I think all this highlighting lunacy as left or right, is counter productive and the media decide which it is by the way they report it anyway.

It was stopped on racial grounds, it was stopped on the grounds it wasn't good for the communities mental health, why is it ok on political grounds?

I think the great problem with these so-called conspiracy theories is how they are framed.

It is often said that the difference between a conspiracy theory and fact is about six months, and in many cases that has certainly turned out to be fairly true.

Can humans manipulate the weather? Well, cloud seeding certainly an accepted fact. Can humans induce a hurricane and influence its trajectory? I doubt that, chaos reigns in chaotic systems. But there are more things in heaven and earth than dreamt of in your philosophy, Horatio.

Whoulda thunk a single bomb could wipe out millions of people only 80 years ago. Doors that open for us as we approach, or watching three hour long videos on your telephone while parked next to the river with no civilization within 500 meters of you.

The problem with these things is the framing as mentioned, which makes them impossible to believe by people in what we might call normal life.

However... looking at the Jimmy Saville case along with Harvey Weinstein, Al Fayed etc there could be something in what they say, but usually these allegations are just to get a headline and draw attention to people and or parties that have very little else going for them.

Even if one sincerely believed in these things, without evidence as you said, it is foolish to bring it up in the context of a federal election.

It's one thing to be talking shyte with your mates at the pub, three sheets to the wind, but another in an election campaign expecting the votes of ordinary folk.

Personally however, I would like to see the whole pedophile theory solved once and for all, yay or nay. I think this is the one thing which there is enough credible suspicion to be investigated thoroughly.
