Just lately, people have been coming out of the woodwork with tips to make ironing easy.

"Use the kitchen table overlain by a woollen blanket, ..."

When did I start telling people that I don't iron.
Not shirts nor shorts, in short, no ironing!!

Religiously, I used to buy Drip-Dry!
Lately, I haven't even bothered to read the label.

Now, I may have to go back to the Church of Drip Dry!

I've one word for you Burglar - Steam!

Nah. The solution is to do the washing, get it dry and then throw it on the bedroom floor and pick up what you need for the day when you have a shower. Works for me.

Staying at a hotel recently, there was an iron but no ironing board.

I thought it rather strange to be this way around. Someone could have stolen the iron or perhaps it breaks, but I can't imagine stealing or breaking an ironing board.

Anyway, ironing on the bed works just fine as I discovered. Not that I'm the type to iron literally everything, but if you're going out somewhere that decent clothes are expected then turning up with everything creased isn't a good look.

It must have been a pretty hard bed. I'd prefer to iron on the floor if an ironing board was not available.
Usually just asking reception to send up an ironing board works.

Been in India recently & lots of hotels had neither. But one hotel has washing and pressing available, which included the shoes... was't game enough to try that with my boots! They come out better drip-dry.

Well, I do. I consider it gives the sign of independence and flair. :
