Stress related health issues

Well guys... An update.

I have had the past 4 months off work. I got back in three weeks.

I am just about back to 100%. It has been a long road. Plenty of relaxing, exercise etc.

I have got back into trading with a much better balance. I'm integrating back in.

I'm not sure how much time I will spend on here. I'd imagine not much for the time being but just a positive update.

I saw a naturopath.
I also saw a psychologist.

I think the main issue to come out of it all was the fact that I need to balance things better and allow myself time to relax and unwind.

The good thing is that I never suffered depression or felt terribly down. There were times I wondered when and how I'd get out of the situation but all along I felt my mind was willing and my body simply was not moving at the same pace!

With so much time off I figured I try all the help I can get from all angles and see what works.
In the end I think the body just needed time and space to catch up to normal.

Definitely gives me a clear perspective on trading too. I believe that this will be a huge help in how I trade. It has already given me clarity and focus on how I want to tackle things. Keep it simple!

A mate of mine woke up one morning and couldn't go to work, just couldn't , the thought of the place sent him into a depressive panic mode.

He got counselling and is ok now and his employer gave him an alternative roll which helped.

Docs are dolling out anti depression meds like smarties these days , it's very common, the good news is those meds work, I know 3 or 4 people that are on them and couldn't function without them.

I've had a bit of depression myself, not bad enough for meds but enough to make me realise what it's all about.

I had a BBQ installed at my last house and the guy said he'd just come out of hospital after being treated for depression, several months later he suicided.

Continue the counselling and step back, take a deep breath and get some perspective if you can.

It'll be ok just pace yourself....;)

Am very glad to hear that you are doing better Pav. I hope that your quality of life continues to improve.

G'day Pav,

How good it is to hear you're getting back to better health, such good news. Keep looking after yourself and like you said "keep it simple" and thanks for the update, appreciate it.

'It was a feeling of defeat': the real signs of workplace burnout
By Karla Arnall for The Pineapple Project
When Melbourne veterinarian Dr Nicola* told her boss she was struggling in the face of an unrelenting caseload, she said her concerns weren't taken seriously.

Dr Nicola said overtime was frequent and expected.

The constant pressure to bill clients resulted in rushed consults and every shift became a race against the clock.

Going to work quickly became associated with feelings of dread.

"I think deep down, in the back of my mind, I knew that this workplace wasn't working for me," Dr Nicola said.

"It was knowing that I would be stepping into chaos.

Stress can cause serious health problems, especially with the heart! And this is no joke. Luckily I didn't get there. Being a lawyer means that stress is my best friend, so I started to keep it under control.

It all started with the fact that I observed that I started to age faster. A friend of mine suggested taking a test for longevity and wellness from the MFM clinic, which examined everything from metabolic state to cardiovascular health.

To be more detailed, it provided a comprehensive analysis of my metabolic and nutritional state, cardiovascular health, hormone function, energy production, and detoxification. Based on these results, I received personalized exercise recommendations, including a mix of cardiovascular workouts and strength training tailored to my fitness level and specific health goals. The dietary plan focused on nutrient-dense foods, balancing proteins, fats, and carbs to support my energy levels and overall wellness.

Agree with you! I also took the MFM health optimization package. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical initially, but I gave it a shot anyway.

What impressed me was the personalized approach. They didn't just hand out a generic plan; it was tailored to my unique needs. They set me up with a blend of cardio and resistance exercises based on my fitness level, which felt so right and not too overwhelming. Dietary-wise, it wasn't about cutting out foods but more about balancing them. The emphasis was on nutrient-rich foods, ensuring I got a mix of proteins, fats, and carbs.

Since implementing their recommendations, I've felt more energetic and just better overall.

Sounds interesting and very impressive. Very comprehensive series of tests.

Starting price is $3988.o_O

Having said that their pitch is persuasive. I wonder if the test have any Private Health rebate or Medicare rebate ?
