The biggest worry about that comment is that in his mind, he wasn't joking.
He sees himself as a god.
Absolutely correct, he epitomises what is wrong with Labor.
Gillard is of the same ilk. IMO

Stephen Conroy I suspect has been told what to do.
As for the Opposition, they were far from quiet on the media issue in Parliament today.
The more interesting question is from where.I would think if Gillard steps down, she and the inner circle, will put Conroy in as 'night watchman.
The more interesting question is from where.
Another act of stupidity from Gillard herself or from an alternative leadership ticket to further undermine her leadership ?
Craig Thomson's response is also intriguing in the context of the second possibility. He too I suspect has been told what to do.
Minimum 15 years in the wilderness to purge the present culture I would say, but that will depend on the quality of the Coalition in government.Well the issue is, where does Labor go after falling into the abyss,IMO
They know they are toast, therefore the question is, who takes control of the Labor party?
Is it Rudd and the moderates, or the unions? Nasty![]()
Interesting article here from Paul Sheehan (from 2004) via Michael Smith's blog about how Conroy got his Senate seat. He seems like a complete weasel as well as a fool.

Did anyone else see Stephen Conroy's responses to a Senate Committee last week? More evidence that Conroy is some kind of a fool.
