Stephen Conroy is an idiot

scratching my head on the logic here

presumably Conroy is the architect or driver of this half-assed, half-baked scheme

I cannot understand why a politician would pick a fight with every media owner in the country, not far out from an election...that is the obvious question that springs to mind.

If I could find a scintilla of sense (which I cant) then I would question the method that Conroy has employed to progress his legislation...unbelieveably ham-fisted.

Listen to how quiet the Opposition are on this issue!..I reckon they would be happy for the legislation to get thru...but it cannot cause Conroy has utterly failed to execute strategy.

makes his boss look a fool as well

Stephen Conroy I suspect has been told what to do.

As for the Opposition, they were far from quiet on the media issue in Parliament today.

I would think if Gillard steps down, she and the inner circle, will put Conroy in as 'night watchman.
Absolute goose, complete moron and will jump at the chance.:xyxthumbs
All my opinion.
Would hate to wear red undies on my head, red just isn't my colour.:D

The more interesting question is from where.

Another act of stupidity from Gillard herself or from an alternative leadership ticket to further undermine her leadership ?

Craig Thomson's response is also intriguing in the context of the second possibility. He too I suspect has been told what to do.

Well the issue is, where does Labor go after falling into the abyss,IMO
They know they are toast, therefore the question is, who takes control of the Labor party?

Is it Rudd and the moderates, or the unions? Nasty :D

Minimum 15 years in the wilderness to purge the present culture I would say, but that will depend on the quality of the Coalition in government.

11 years wasn't enough last time around, and that was from a much better standing than where they are now.

I'll probably regret this later but...Conroy, D.Cameron, C.Evans (retired), Gillard, quite a backload there. Still fighting the battles of the old world.

Australia has moved on, someone should let them know. It's not us, it's them.

Looks like Gillard thinks Conroy is an idiot also.

She's now running round, buying votes. :D
What a way to run the decission making process of our country. Give them a take it or leave it, then grovel around to glean support for bad policy, sounds familiar.:D

Didn't Gillard roll Rudd because he was railroading everyone and was a one man band, funny how life repeats.:xyxthumbs
