Apparently a prominent NSW punter stands to collect a whopping $1.2million should Queensland win tonight's Origin opener.

Go the Maroons. :D

Well it was certainly one sided lol

Hope you pick your stocks better than your football

GO THE BLUES ! ! ! :D

Yes it was, good on the Blues still two to go we will see who is on top then.

Just a small drawdown.

Go You Mighty Maroons ! ! !

Step 1. Karmichael Hunt back to full-back.

Step.2. Prince in No. 6 jersey.

Step.3. Get rid of overrated Carl Webb and put in a harder hitting forward.

Result - Queensland win the 3rd series in a row !! :D

The sun will no doubt shine a little bit brighter up here north of the border tomorrow after a glorious Qld win tonight. Not often a team gets kept to blot, but in all honestly, even with a biased opinion, the blues offered nothing tonight.

Phil Gould on Channel 9 (without really saying so), bagged the NSW halves and is really wanting Anasta there in Game 3 as a Rooster man. In all honesty, I hope the blues pick him too, he has never delivered on a higher stage. Wallace was exposed as a pretender tonight, even though I have to support him on weekends as a Bronco. No space for Gasnier either who was their only attacking option. How Inglis scored man of match above Tate is a bit beyond me. But we were far too good.

Can the blues recover from this shellacking?????? I speak for all northerners when I say : we hope not.

No doubt tigerboi will be sprouting about the NSW home record. But I wonder if it will count for much as they recover from this one. Will be very interesting to see if there are any NSW changes in selection. And will be very interesting to see what happens in the QLD camp if Lockyer decides he is fit.

GO MAROONS........

Awesome game tonight from the cane toads :D
Many big games - thiaday ran like a man possessed. Ingliss, Johnson, Price, boyd all fantastic.... too many to name. & how about Thursto's return to form.
Problem last time wasn't so much bad form but smith didn't give him the ball till after the game was lost!!!! But he had his act together tonight.

on to sydney.....

the maroons were awesome. The blues were totally out played. Their performance of dropping the ball reminded me of a few dragons performances this year. Hopefully the blues can recover for game 3.

Interesting to read Bellamy's comments. Upset at the ref and the "new interpretation of the rules". As if Game 1 the slowest Origin play the ball in history is the correct interpretation.

Well done Qld forwards for aiming up and getting more aggressive, but interestingly I still think NSW won the play the ball (but lost 30-0) they did a lot of dummy half running, Tate was the only Qlder who got away from the NSW dummy half markers. Petero and Pricey were great.

Re:QLD WAY TOO HUNGRY FOR US

Congrats qld just way too hungry however i didnt think 30-0 reflected the true score as archer had a shocker, the turning point came at 12-0 when qld threw a forward pass, knocked on kicked through & turner the goose gave a non penalty...14-0,i thought after that we dropped our bundle.

brett stewart showed gasnier HOW to tackle not this rubbish arm grabbing(shaking hands with them)if not for stewarts great cover tackles it wouldve been 50-0.

game 3 is back down here were qld are 1/12...tb:D

Some turning points in the game that are worth repeating. My choice for mom ... Brent Tate.

Yes, great win Storm. Sorry, I meant Queensland...

Pity that the win has again meant giving away Melbourne Storm NRL competition points to an inferior team. :(

What were they thinking?

Poor bugga... didn't see the funny side after the drubbing and sloshing down a few to drown his sorrows.

I suppose it'll be payback time for an unsuspecting Maroon next time.

"I don't want to say too much about it but I'm pretty rattled," Bird told Fairfax. "I didn't know what was going on. It was publicly humiliating because there were 30 to 40 people around."

It is understood that Bird and NSW teammate Anthony Tupou had left the bar at 4.30am when a scuffle broke out between patrons.

Bird then asked police outside the bar where he could find a taxi. They handcuffed him and forced him to sit in the back of their car for about five minutes before releasing him and telling him it was a practical joke as a large crowd of onlookers started chanting, "Free Bird".

If NSW are to win the decider they will have to strengthen the defense on the right side - end of story.

Go the Blues !!

game 3 is back down here were qld are 1/12...tb:D

And the decider is 24 hours away.I hope t.b. is travelling alright, gone silent.

Yep the win/loss ratio is not good for QLD and the Blues have the home town crowd energy for a boost.Injuries to key playmakers have given your upcoming rookie Mitchell Pearce a shot at the top competition.Sink or swim?

Hope it`s a warm night in Sydney.

Picture ... my brother (who also toured Fiji and N.Z. in Queensland Residents team) after winning A grand final with Redcliffe.

Yeah, but apparently there have been some terse words exchanged lately, not the least of which was a derogitary remark about the late Tosser Turner.

That'll get the Maroons blood boiling for sure.

One way or another I think the Maroons will leave their mark. Watch out blues!

Btw Wysiwyg, which one is your brother?
