Market Matters afternoon report

Resolute Mining (RSG) -32.84% hit hard on news CEO Terry Holohan has been detained by the military-controlled government of Mali in West Africa enroute to discussions with local mining and tax authorities
 
If I was a betting man, (which I might be - this is the stock market) I reckon these guys are going to be released once a sufficiently weighted Aldi bag is presented to Mr Goita. (did he write a song about something that I used to know?)

On the other hand, a K&R extraction team may be enroute to cause some serious noise and who knows what happens.

I think the Directors of RSG need to be taken to task by ASIC for not going into a TH and saving $500m in stockholders value. In fact, why didn't ASIC do it for them, this was obviously going to be the outcome. Maybe the work experience kids were in charge over the weekend.

I have had a go at the falling knife.
Its lost more than half its value since the kidnap.
I think it will be resolved at some time, and we can move on.
Risky, but the potential rewards outweigh the risk.

Gone into a pause pending a further announcement, after you caught the knife my the looks.

Hopefully this means good news but not sure why a pause first for good news at this stage.

Om te slagen in het leven heb je twee dingen nodig: onwetendheid en vertrouwen.
