something like 90% of g20 countries are in recession, and AUSTRALIA isnt.
Labor inherited 0 debt, positive growth forecasts.

and since Labor has taken control they have CONSISTANTLY scaled down their growth forecasts.

Our economy is built on MINERALS and FINANCIALS, the two sectors that have been most hit in the GFC.

how are we in such good shape?

To be honest I think Howard, he has the experience and guts to do whats right not popular, Costello was a great treasurer but as a leader ? I dont know if that suits him hence his reluctance to go further.

I dont think there's anyone else I'd trust in these times and I really do think Rudd is a dangerous leader for these times .

Well dunno about you but I'm gonna watch the Malaysian GP at 10:30 see how Button goes, so my level of reaction to abuse and Labor rhetoric will lessen very shortly

gg made perfect sense to me.
However, an award to K. Rudd for being long winded would also be appropriate, though maybe more for simply being indescribably pompous.

Re the indulgence in delicious fantasy of Rudd being fired and who would take over, and assuming it had to still be Labor, I'd go for Lindsay Tanner, who at least doesn't behave like an automaton and actually answers questions quite thoughtfully.

I'm a swinging voter so just take it as it comes, Labor have great ideas or are idealistic, more to the point, but are totally incompetent most of the time.

Rudd is a latte' sucking idealist living off the AU taxpayer, It disturbs me that someone as low as he could become PM.

No matter who caused what or inherited what from who, simply, K Rudd is not going about this 'crisis' the right way and hence should be sacked.

He didn't cause the recession, but he's doing the exact right thing to make the bad times last for many years to come.

just in case anyone is labouring under the misaprehension that it was democracy, the will of the people, that caused the GG to sack whitlam.........then labour no more.

whitlam was sacked as he was trying to close pine gap.

so the dream of rudd going the same way, will never happen through the will of the people. there is no precident....
