Ramping - where do we draw the line?

Given this forum tends to be a little more high brow than some other sites going (especially the automatic scrolling type forums) I doubt the problem will ever get as bad here as in other sites.

You mean like the Comsuck stock chat rooms eh? "Rampers" extraordianire over there. Ergo "HotCoppers". But even so, there are some good tidbits to be had there at times if you can filter between the lines, as it were.

Be that as it may, ASF is my definite fave..... ;o)

Joe, DON'T EVER SHUT IT DOWN!!!!!

My two cents:

If someone has posted something that sounds suss, as Joe said someone should challenge it. If they can't provide a reason or a source for the info (if not an ann or article, at least a rough calculation of an expected price target or profit) rampers generally get aggressive - in that case they violate the rules of the room anyway as I understand them.

Let us hope not Mofra, let us hope not.

Some threads have a hotcopper feel to them, with blind faith and self interest evident rather than any new analysis, funnymental or technical, rather a repeated mantra and exhortations.

As an example, some uranium followers believe in uranium stocks atm when Japan and Germany two industrial powerhouses are backpedaling in using uranium, and push the stocks aggressively on multiple forums.
