Hi,
Anyone else using this combo??
Prices today show yesterdays prices and times are wrong.
All charts are corrupted...

Re: Quote Tracker / Commsec

I tried using quote tracker but I couldnt log into comsec to get the data

Re: Quote Tracker/Commsec/Tradingroom

You have to be a client of Commsec to use it with quotetracker.

Also, I found out that the corruption is due to bad backfill data from the fairfax tradingroom site.

www.tradingroom.com.au intraday charts have been corrupt for the past 3 trading days.

Re: Quote Tracker/Commsec

Hi Jonno,

There's quite a bit to set it up, but its worth persevering with!
Start with menu on the right
-portfolios/alerts
type in your stocks-maybe one or two to begin with...into the default portfolio fields.
menu-data sources/proxy - enter proxies-second tick box(use internetexplorer settings)
under menu-datasources/proxy-quotes enter site comsec australia
...........................................level11 enter comsec australia
...........................................backfill enter tradingroom australia
...........................................indices enter tradingroom australia and tick required indices
if you dont have choices commsec and tradingroom then use
menu preferences-siteslist to put them in right hand box
use menu-preferences-timing enter et+14 australia(sydney)
if you are still not working, then put any error messages here..

Re: Quote Tracker/Commsec

I use Commsec/Quotetracker for my superfund acc and as far as I know the answer is no you can't get an estimation of a closing or opening auction.

If someone knows how I would also like to know!

:D

It stopped working with my Commsec account. Does anybody else have the same problem?
NO, I am using mine live now.

A few months ago Commsec announced that you can only log in with your Commsec ID number. They said you can not login anymore with your account number. I went into the preferences in Quotetracker and changed the login from the account number to my Commsec ID and password and now it is working just fine, cheers.

When you are migrated to the new site it will stop working.
Yes I know but at present it is still working live. I will milk it as long as I can. Been using it for years, will be sad to see it go.

This is straight from the QT people...

Commsec made a change to their feed that QT was unable to update to accommodate, so the feed is no longer supported in QT.

QT is in the beginning of the draw-down process. Too early to have very much info available. QT was programmed in Delphi for Windows 95 and is rapidly reaching an unmaintainable state, so we are trying to integrate as many features as we can in to ThinkOrSwim from TD Ameritrade before that happens. When the drawdown is complete, QT will no longer be supported or maintained. In the meantime, we recommend trying out ThinkOrSwim. If you need any assistance with it or a walkthrough, just let us know and we'll see if we can get someone at TD Ameritrade to give you a call.

Cheers,
Harrison

I suggest that you use:

ASX Australia (delayed) -- 20 minute delay
-- this does work

I was accessing Westpac Broking with live feeds to QT until Westpac changed their system last year.
-- I can not access individual trades now!

Commsec have updated their site [Now like westpac's] and, as previously QT has failed to get their feed.

Anyone any ideas [not ASX delayed please]

I am opening an a/c with suncorp. anyone have login details for any of the other ASX sites they are not using [not for trading obviously - they have a different login]

Anyone using the hubb software?

Yes, mine was updated on Monday too, it's an end to an era, was good while we could get it. Sorry, I don't have any ideas for any other live feeds.

Anyone using the hubb software?

Yep. I have used ProfitSource with Elliott Wave feature for 2 years.
Hubb has been taken over by Options express, and the yanks are not particularly interested in Australian traders.
I am currently changing over to Bull Charts.
If you want to ask any questions, I suggest you send me a PM.
I have put charts up on " XAO and Elliott" on ASF.
joea
