That's 13.7% up, net of brokerage in 10 days.

Due entirely to lil Johnny Howard offering millions in grants to renewables.

But that was then, this is now!
Is it an opportunity now.
I don't know ... perhaps, maybe.

But I do get your point.
Remiss of me to not catch it on the way down?????

I wouldn't read to much into anything happening in late 2007, if i remember right all the green energy stocks were doing well because Rudd and Labor were odds on to win the election...Howard was 100% irrelevant at the time.

Also remember Petratherm getting some media attention and some funding at around that time.

Quite right, ...
lil Johnny was already losing his seat to watsername Maxine McKew.
And the election to labor because, in part, he was insufficiently green.

But his grants were too little, too late!

Petratherm Ltd has be re-instated to official quotation today after being suspended for 11 months.

The company has raised $4 million by issuing 100,000,000 new shares at $0.04 per share and is acquiring a 75% interest in a silver, lead and zinc prospective tenement from Musgrave Minerals Limited and two gold and base-metal prospective tenements from SAEX Pty Ltd.

Not much else to go on at the moment.

PTR is currently trading at 4.3c, a small premium to the recent issue price.

I am choosing PTR for March 2022 tipping competitio.

I have no reason for choosing this stock.

definitely a change of direction, after the geothermal adventure was a demonstrable failure to commercialise (like all of them).

Petratherm Ltd (PTR) is committed to developing a portfolio of mineral exploration projects with high growth potential.
  • Nov 2016; the company consolidated its shares 1 for 10.
  • Feb 2018; replacement prospectus for 100,000,000 ordinary Shares at $0.04 each to raise $4,000,000. Oversubscriptions to a further $1,000,000 accepted. ...
  • March 2018; the company consolidated its shares 1 for 2.
  • by 2020, sold its Vic gold prospects to a Canadian company (Skarb), for shares
  • most recent quarterly; Petratherm maintains a strong exploration focus for Olympic Dam Style Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) and high grade gold. The newly acquired Woomera Project is highly prospective for IOCG Mineralisation and is close to Coda Minerals and it recent Emmie Bluff IOCG discovery. Gravity modelling work completed during the period defined several high priority IOCG drill targets

About Petratherm and its Shallow RAB Drill Geochemical Program
The Company has applied a new exploration methodology to explore for gold and critical minerals. Historical surface geochemical sampling exploration techniques in the region have been impeded by shallow cover strata which masks most of the prospective basement geochemical response. To overcome this issue, Petratherm applied a new exploration methodology, where regional scale (400 metre by 400 metre) shallow grid drilling has been undertaken to directly sample the top of the in situ saprolite zone clays (deeply weathered basement rock which has been chemically decomposed to clay) below the younger transported cover strata. In most areas the top of the saprolite zone occurs between 5 and 15 metres depth and shallow drilling was undertaken using a light weight and cost effective, land cruiser mounted RAB drill rig.

This work was cofunded by a South Australian Government Accelerated Discovery Initiative Grant, which aims to accelerate mineral discovery through innovative exploration and research projects in regional and frontier terrains throughout South Australia.

Drilling uncovers major high value Rare Earth Discovery at Comet in the Northern Gawler Craton
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Petratherm redefines the mineral prospectivity of the Northern Gawler Craton of South Australia after greenfield regional RAB drilling supported by South Australian Government Exploration Initiative Cofunding uncovers significant rare earth (REE) occurrences.
  • Shallow RAB drilling tested the top 3 metres of the prospective clay horizon. Mineralisation encountered, includes impressive concentrations of high value REE which remain open at depth below and out into surrounding areas.
  • REE intercepts in clays show striking similarities and comparable grades to the ion absorption rare earth deposits of China which are a major world supplier.
  • Deeper RC drilling into crystalline basement rock below REE enriched clays at the Target 14 Prospect intersected zones of primary REE mineralisation. This may represent a potential source rock for the mineralisation and petrological analysis of the REE enriched basement rock is underway.
  • A 10,000 metre RAB drilling program scheduled to start in three weeks to test extent of mineralisation. Initial JORC resource potentially defined within six months.
  • Petratherm has a strong ground position in the Northern Gawler Craton, totalling 1,885 Km2.
- so, a cap raise and a name change?

Rare earths in SA? This sounds like what AR3 is attempting.
Finding rare earths is not particularly difficult as they're not rare. The difficulty is in extraction and processing to deliver a specific product. Rare earth miners need to be rare earth producers.

I am Posting this PTR Chart for ANN in absentia for the June 2022 comp if permitted

I know she would see that there is something going on here

1st Officer Ann.jpg

Get Well Braveheart
We are all cheering for you

PTR certainly still looks seaworthy and well above the 200 MA
As you can see below she is now finding favourable sea and strengthening winds
At Last!

Unfortunately 1st officer Ann seems to be Lost at Sea
I am sure she would have loved to hang on for another month
This month promises to be quite enjoyable
But as for usual at Sea - Not for everyone

I have entered this little beauty again in the August Monthly Regatta

Hopefully we can break through the Cold front on her 7th attempt
"Patience is Everything"
Note how she can move >20% in a single day quite often
This could get very EXCITING and YES I have lots of sail presented to the Wind

Hello Guys and girls ..I'm another newbi here, fair new to the whole stock market. But anyway, i've got my eye on this company and don't know too much about them.

Just wondering if there is anyone out there have any info on this company, as there is not alot posted up, about this company.
Sorry to take a while to get back to you. The detour to hot rocks seems to have cooled, and company reinvention has taken a while. Must be time for a name change, ...At least it has stayed local. ...

Market cap: $18.65m

South Australian rare earths explorer, Petratherm, received promising drilling results from Meteor (part of its Comet project) in February which defined a ‘continuous blanket’ of high-grade, +1000ppm REE mineralisation starting from shallow depths of 3–6m.

Highlights include 24m at 1,594ppm TREO, 34ppm Sc2O3 from 6m, inc. 6m at 2,495ppm TREO and 42ppm Sc2O3.

Mineralisation remains open, the company says, and there is also “significant potential for additional discoveries”.

PTR has now started all important metallurgical trials to test whether it can build an operation using a using simple heap leach extraction process.

in a further update, after last trades at 2c, then a 9 day TH, Petratherm jumped to 4.3c and continues to trade around there. All looks like rather token ...

Exceptional High-Grade Titanium Rich Heavy Mineral Sands Discovered Over Large Area At Muckanippie
Highlights
Mapping, surface sampling, and re-assaying of historic drilling has discovered high-grade Titanium rich heavy mineral sands over several kilometres at the Muckanippie Project.
• Exceptional sample grades ranging from 10% to 50% TiO2 from two large Prospect Areas. 79% of samples >10% TiO2, with 28% > 30% TiO2
• Titanium is on the critical minerals list for Australia, US and EU and has uses in electric vehicles and battery storage, wind technology, pigments, and as an alloy in steel and superalloys.
• At the Rosewood Prospect, outcropping mineralisation extends over 9 kilometres West to East. Wide spaced drilling confirms HMS extend at least 6 kilometres to the North.
• Re-Assaying of Historical Rosewood drill intercepts include:
o CAR 39 – 20m @ 4.2% TiO2 from 4m, including 4m @ 9.1% TiO2 from 4m
o CAR 38 – 36m @ 4.0% TiO2 from 0m, including 6m @ 7.8% TiO2 from 8m
• An accompanying Exploration Target for the initial planned drill area over the Rosewood Target highlights excellent upside potential.
• At Claypan Prospect, samples of the mineral sandstone horizons assaying >5% TiO2 and up to 31.5% TiO2 have been traced over a 1.5 kilometre trend before passing under cover.
• A historical drill hole, 6 kilometres South of Claypan outcrop, intersected the heavy mineral sand layer assaying 12.1% TiO2, and underlying source rocks were intersected returned grades up to 21.0% TiO2 and 0.44% V2O5.
• A 4000-metre drilling program is scheduled to start early October to test grade and extent of HMS mineralisation and high-grade Titanium-Vanadium basement horizons.
