I probably should have clarified that, Julia.

I meant that his affair with Cheryl Kernot made him look like a bit of a clown. But in most other respects, his political career was one of sound achievement. He was certainly one of the better and more capable members of the ALP government at the time.

That really is stupid even the most ardent Creationist will know that the Earth was created one fine day (or make that "a week") in 4004 B.C.
Fewer will know that there was no Year Zero, so the Earth is exactly 6013 years old. q.e.d.

My vote also goes to Peter Robert Garrett AM MP (born 16 April 1953), who has been wasting electricity, first by amplifying his noises beyond pain threshold, then by allowing untrained youngsters to electrocute themselves (and a lot of pink batts).

And half a vote is spread across all those blind NRL Fans, who still believe the Storm Boofheads didn't know the books were cooked, when they surely must've been told to keep shtumm about those extra perks.
 
I cannot think of any bigger political boofhead than this unelected epic failure. A person who couldn't even pass in his undergraduate Accountancy exams after it was offered on a silver platter.

Penny Wong

She appears incapable of answering a question. In an interview on the ABC this morning on why they have shelved the ETS, she answered every question by blaming Tony Abbott.

She refused to answer why, if they were so committed, they didn't call a double dissolution on the issue.

If she is not a boofhead, she certainly thinks we are.
 
Yep, I agree. Also heard that interview which was entirely typical of her.
They simply have no answer to the question: "why don't you go to a double dissolution election on the issue?"
The obvious answer is that they are no longer so sure they'd win, given the lengthening list of stuff-ups.
 
Former Queensland premier Peter Beattie.
Overall I thought Beattie was quite a good premier who did a lot for Queensland.
But he showed his capacity for being a boofhead when he stopped parliament for a minute of silence as a mark of respect to Australian drug trafficker Van Nguyen when they hanged him in Singapore.
Beattie didn't explain why he thought a filthy murdering drug trafficker was worthy of respect.
 
Carmen Lawrence & Brian Burke = Labor 1980's WA Inc. Total boofheads. Graft, corruption knows no bounds with these two. Puts Underbelly to shame.
 
Kerry O'Brien did his best tonight on 7.30 report to penetrate Wong's boofhead. No amount of direct and probing questions could elicit an intelligent response. She doesn't even have the sense to realise that Rudd is using her as a fall guy.

If she hadn't had that eternal subtle smirk that she always wears (the one which says, jeez, I'm bored with being here: you're so far beneath my attention), I'd almost have felt sorry for her as she persisted with her robotic delivery.

She shouldn't have had to front up for Mr Rudd. It would not have been her decision.
Once again, he sends his underling out to cope with the ****** stuff.
What a total coward.

Oh, I think she probably realises only too well that Rudd is using her. But it all goes with the job - she's getting enough money to make it worth her while, and will continue doing so at taxpayers expense after she retires from politics.
I can well imagine that in politics you say what your party tells you to say. An odd one bucks the traces by speaking out against their party, but their political life is usually threatened if they do.

And this is the man who, because of a preposterous gerrymander, will most likely still be PM at the end of next month.
 
Malcolm Turnbull is right up there in the 5 Star Boofhead class, after being left high and dry by Rudd's ETS reversal.

Poor Boofhead Malcolm holds the unique position of being the only Australian politician who wants an ETS now.

Correction. There are a couple of turncoat Lib senators who, no doubt, think they are martyrs for some cause. I can't remember their names but they have earned a couple of stars. They will be consigned to oblivion.
 

You are so wrong again. Malcolm Turnbull was the best hope for a Liberal revival and remember he only lost the lead by one vote when the main issue was the enviroment. How can someone so successful with his own life be classed as a boofhead is beyond me. He had the courage of his own convictions and placed that before cunning politics. He is a liberal that would have seen me vote for him. I suppose that makes me a boofhead too in your eyes.

One neens more than their own convictions to succeed in politics.

While clearly very successful in other areas of his life, he was a political boofhead.
