Planning my holiday.

The wife said we need a holiday but I am involved in a big engineering project. Luckily gaining inspiration from my betters I have worked out what to do.

I have told our secretary to pretend I am still at work. The junior engineer I am training will read and answer all my emails.

If people try to ring me it will divert to the secretary who will say I am in a meeting and can she take a message which will be passed onto my junior engineer.

As long as I don't run into a client overseas I should get away with it.

Told my wife and she said what if things go badly wrong and we get sued. I said she could take the blame for forcing me to take the holiday.
She told me I could go and get fxxx.

Unfortunately we all can't marry a Jenny Morrison.

But you still get blamed for it, even if the project was late because the sparkie didn't wire the switchboard and it wasn't your project in the first place.
Not only that, you the missus and kids were away on holidays when the project was being built. ?
You should get a raise, you're indispensable, or you work for a $hit company were no one does their job and you carry the can.?
But fear not, that is the way of the World today, don't blame the one at fault, find someone else who no one likes and pin it on them and if you can include their extended family in the blame all the better.

Don't forget when things go to sht to get the secretary to use "He's been hospitalised with covid. He should be out at (date)".

Run into a client "No that's my twin brother".
Look shocked when they came back and tell you your twin brother was on holiday with your wife.
