Oprah bans Palin

I realise it can't be taken as fact, like any other statistic. But its quite compelling.

GG, while it can't be used to generalise individuals, it is highly suggestive that at state-wide levels, Republican majority states are less (far less in many cases) intelligent than Democratic majority states. Check out the bottom few - doesn't seem they're a sharp lot down there.

I'm not a fan of the political affiliation generalisations in this thread. People who place others into certain categories tend to have a very narrow-minded view of the world.

GG, I know she is right wing and she is pretty fruity for a 45 year old lady, though surely that is trumped by the fact that she is a fundamentalist god botherer that thinks the world is 6000 years old.

I don't agree.

Having all those kids and suffered the ups and downs of life, with a good childhood, makes her frontal lobes, resilience etc. excellent bar none.

You have some biases which you need to examine, and as a thinking gal, I'm sure you will.

Imagine if she were a leftie.

There is little difference between effective left and effective right.

Well, whatever you say, gg. I guess just so long as she 'keeps an eye on Russia' from over her back fence, we're all in good hands.

I wouldn't care whether she's left or right. So far, she's demonstrated little more than a hill billy homespun downhome charm combined with appalling ignorance.

Just maybe you're being blinded by her, um, feminine appeal.
