Pepperstone offers online forex trading through multiple forex trading platforms, including Metatrader 4, Webtrader and Apps for iPhone and Android.

Get started today and get up to $600 free brokerage!

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between October 1 and October 31.

4. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Wednesday, September 30 to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :D

Please don't forget to post a brief reason explaining why you chose your competition entry. One or two sentences is enough (feel free to add a chart if your reason is TA based). If your entry is the same as the previous month and the reason for choosing it is the same then feel free to just post the same explanation again. Thank you!

NTC this time round thanks Joe.

A cracker under the SP of late and punting this will continue into October.

SEA again, thanks Joe!

I've chosen it for a few months in a row and it keeps on biting me! Basically, same reasons, it's a well run company with great management, they're gritting their teeth through the low oil price. Oil stocks have been smashed, understandably, but SEA has been smashed far too much in many respects. Put it this way, based on deals done between other companies in recent weeks they could sell their land and other assets for multiples of the current market cap. A takeover bid is also highly likely, based on that. Any change in sentiment of the oil/energy sector should have SEA jumping up, and a lack of it still leaves SEA highly likely to be the target of a takeover.

EDE thanks Joe.
Time to get back on.

I believe the abrasion tests at 56 day milestone on test samples will be the significant factor for 'Edencrete' acceptance by the US state of Georgia, department of transport. I think this happens in October and therefore maybe a step change in value, but the risk (for this tipping comp) is the results may not be released till November.

RMS thanks Joe.

It has livened up on the chart of late and they are moving on some good prospective gold tennaments.

With Aussie gold on the rise think it is worth a run

MRF please.
Share placement to be completed by end Sept.; Announcement of granting of SLankan graphite mining licence expected shortly after!

I missed the September comp but I'm back for October and would like to select TAM.

Technically is looking great after a substantial base forming over the last 18+ months. Starting to break out with volume propelling it upwards.

Hopefully this pick brings home the Gold!

Was going for MRF again but got beaten to the post there..............so

Red 5 (RED) for me thanks Joe. After years on the skids, there is a renewed management team, cleaning up the mess of the previous admins and a mine that has been resurrected and grades have improved.

BRN

A milestone Ann is due to prove the scalability of the tech in hardware to potential licencees :)

I will go with VMT please.

Vmoto has struck a deal to potentially sell at least 32,000 electric scooters to a Canadian technology company for a vehicle sharing project.

Good start to get into the North American market.

AUQ (Alara Resources) again for me thanks Joe.

Its a bit up in the air at the moment, this stock.
Plenty of rumours of JV/takeovers e.t.c,but with management taking its time and
copper/zinc prices falling the SP has dropped right away, looking for a bounce this month.
