Well I can't "WIN" again.. The Captain has jumped onboard. Reckon he saw the Trading Halt ahead of new drilling results and reckoned it had to rebound..

So my dart throwing choice for October will be MEK. I'm sort of hoping October will have some juicy announcements that jump the SP_ - before it reverses.:cautious:
Sorry 'bout that Basilio
BUT, He or She who tacks first usually wins

@basilio, @Captain_Chaza

Rule 2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

If WIN is in a trading halt it might be wise to pick another stock as it would be ineligible.
I had TOE in Sept Comp and it's in a trading halt at the moment until next week, so I can't pick it for Oct Comp even if I wanted too.

RUBBISH!
I have seen this every week
What about RED and all the others and the others Tomorrow

That's why I have always objected to a night's closing price and not the next Mornings OPENING PRICE as it should have always been

Until this rule is changed
LIVE WITH IT!

If any stock is in a trading halt, even RED or any others the same applies. It' up to each tipster to make sure their Tip qualifies. Don't shoot the messenger, I did it as a courtesy to enable another selection.
Yes A trading halt that will be lifted on MONDAY The First day of the MONTH
I have had enough of you anyway!

Yeah, did I see that RED entered a cap raise trading halt? I'll select something else over the week-end. I hope @Joe Blow will allow us to post selections for Oct before the Oct open on Mon 3rd. Please don't close it on Friday night.

I'm back. On a personal note I've just had a huge win. We know the wisdom of not getting between a dog and his dinner. Well I'm telling you, don't get between P2 and his charting software. My charting software had a conflict with Microsoft. Something in the Windows labyrinth changed and caused a fatal error to my charting software. This was a huge problem. I'm a complete noob with coding and know nothing about Windows other than it had better keep on working.

The conflict produced a "System.BadImageFormatException" and lost an assembly manifest. WTF! Yeah, that's what I thought.

I went through Microsoft Windows updates and manuals not knowing what I was looking at. Thought I'd know it when I see it. That was so wrong. My level of frustration maxed out last night and again today. The thing that changed my mindset was playing tennis in the rain. Yep, that's how keen we are. Water was flying off the balls as they plowed over the net. We didn't finish as the rain settled in but I'd completely forgotten about my problems.

Tackling the problem from another angle I noticed an anomaly when comparing the system files across two computers. A Windows Microsoft NET file located about eight level down showed 0 bytes. This was the missing assembly. Eureka!

Replaced the file from my laptop to desktop fixed the problem. I felt better than Rocky Balboa after he reached the top.
[cue theme music, Gonna Fly now...]

@Captain_Chaza, @debtfree is correct. Stocks can only be entered while they are trading. WIN entered a trading halt this morning before you entered it and therefore was not eligible to be entered. Please select another stock.

@peter2. As is ususal when the last day of the month falls on a Friday I will extend the deadline for entries until Sunday evening at midnight.

I'll go for CAZ for one more month please. The assay results from Halls Creek should be through later this month, and hopefully they will impress.

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

3. Either before or after posting your entry and before the deadline for entries you must post in the forum thread of the stock you have entered providing either a general update or a view on why you think the share price is going to increase in the short term.

4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between the close of trading on 30 September (entry price) and the close of trading on 31 October.

5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The entry price for all entries is the closing price on the last trading day of this month.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Friday, 30 September to enter. However, in practice entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :xyxthumbs
