Australian (ASX) Stock Market Forum

NVDA - NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ)

All semiconductor stocks are being sold off heavily after some numbskull released the ASML earnings and CEO comments online a day earlier than scheduled. The notes were hurriedly removed but the internet remembers everything. The market has read the CEO comments of a disappointing outlook with reduced revenue from their equipment used in making analog chips. Apparently customers are delaying their orders for this equipment (uncertainty over tariffs?). ASML, and all the SCs have been sold mercilessly. This includes NVDA however reports state that the demand for NVDA AI chips is huge with orders expected to take 12 months to fill. Orders for the ASML equip that makes these AI chips won't be delayed. I'm buying this dip (adding to existing position) on NVDA.

Expect SEMI to open a lot lower tomorrow (damn).

Note: Nvidia AI chips are made by TSM. Interesting ramifications if/when China occupies Taiwan.

Nvidia's main customers are MSFT, AMZN, GOOG and META. If they reduce investment in AI data centres this would reduce NVDA's business.

Today's latest TSM earnings report exceeds expectation. TSM +8% pre-market (NVDA +2% pre-market).

All is going well in the AI chip sector.

For the night owls among us. NVDA has just reached all time high last night and the uptrend is now intact.

NVDA earnings out Wed (20/11 after close, Thurs Aust). These numbers have the potential to move the market. Will they be good enough to boost the market or not good enough to crash it?

I was intending to hold my remaining half position into earnings but since the market has pulled-back a little and seems jittery I've closed it (🐔). Money is in the bag and will wait to see what happens.

AI is terrific at writing code.
perhaps the engineer at the Robotics company could develop an AI code engine that rewrites all the application software and reuse library code into another language that supports AMD, TSMC or one of the other GPU makers.

Great post.

Add to that list every Country. All American aligned democracies are in line after the above US based enterprises to buy Blackwell and join CUDA, the software entry in to AI.

The projection is that NVDA will catch up with demand by end 2026 early 2027. Meanwhile the plan is to produce a better chip every year and expand CUDA.

Premarket continues to be up @peter2 . , 2.62%. to find $134.80.

Oh, I over-estimated total $ amount of last minute in post above at close yesterday, it was "only" $320m. not $500m.

Jenson Orin nano super was just released at $249. This is going to change things over the next 3 years. We should see the next wave of gadgets.
